Gospel music's sweetheart,Jekalyn Carr, has reached the #2 spot on both the Billboard Gospel Airplay and Mediabase Gospel radio charts with her powerful and dynamic single, "You're Bigger". Additionally, "You're Bigger" hits #2 on Billboard's Digital Genre chart. The song is the first single from Jekalyn's forthcoming third CD, entitled THE LIFE PROJECT - scheduled for release in stores and online everywhere on August 5th (Lunjeal Music Group/eOne). In just over a month Jekalyn Carr's live music video has amassed over 185,000 Youtube views and continues to grow (watch here: https://youtu.be/Z-ZV61eDLXI).
This embryonic artist's burgeoning national acclaim is evinced by the distinct honor of being listed by ESSENCE as one of "15 Gospel Artists to Watch". Jet Magazine named her "One of the Top Ten Faces You Need to Know" while Ebony recognized her as an "Ebony Power 100" as one of the most influential people in the country alongside Bishop TD Jakes, Beyonce, Lebron James,Pharrell Williams and Quincy Jones.
"You're Bigger" is a declarative proclamation of faith that is sure to impact the lives of all who hear it. Carr proclaims, "You're bigger than the universe. You're bigger than the sun and the stars." This worshipful ballad hails Gods sovereignty and reminds listeners to set their sights on the true and living God. The song is connecting with people from all walks of life with its simple, yet profound, message that God is bigger than whatever obstacle, challenge, or issue they may be facing.
Available now wherever digital music is sold the single continues to gain momentum at radio, with the support of Carr's electrifying performances across the country, where she has seen people's lives changed and faith restored in response to the song's lyrics and her passionate delivery. Carr's forthcoming project is a powerful collection of songs. The voice that captivated the nation, now powered with even more life experience and ever-evolving insight, is back, bigger and bolder than ever before. THE LIFE PROJECT is Carr's first live recording and captures her in her full element as a singer and evangelist. As compelling as she is as a vocalist, she is equally as dynamic as a preacher. THE LIFE PROJECT creates an atmosphere that allows her to flow seamlessly, back and forth, between the two resulting in an unforgettable worship experience.
Without the resources and "big machine" tactics of a major label, Carr consistently manages to cut through the clutter and maintain her place as a formidable psalmist and singer, as she finds herself, once again, in the company of the industry's biggest and brightest at the top of the charts.
