Joshua’s Troop Celebrates Return to Radio With “It’s My Time”
New Haven Records recently announced the much-anticipated return of Joshua's Troop to gospel radio with their new single, "It's My Time," co-written and produced by Percy Gray, Jr. (New Direction, Chicago Mass Choir).
Originally founded as a youth choir to provide urban Chicago teens a positive alternative to gang and street life, the Troop's electrifying blend of contemporary, R & B, and hip-hop influences resulted in the smash radio hit, "Everybody Clap Your Hands," a Stellar Award nomination, and hundreds of thousands of YouTube views.
To date, the group has generated more than seven million views on YouTube of nearly 100 video performances. Manuella Morris, the group's manager comments, "Joshua's Troop has an amazing energy and passion that has earned them tens of thousands of fans. We couldn't be more excited about bringing them a new song worthy of their attention."
Cathy Carroll of Mighty Dominion Entertainment agrees, "No hype. Just fact. Joshua's Troop is back with an undeniable hit! It's time for history to repeat itself it with 'It's My Time.'"
Producer Percy Gray, Jr. concludes, "From the very beginning, Joshua's Troop has been about transforming the destinies of our youth from the street. Along the way, they changed us with their contagious music and undeniable message. Get ready to be changed again!"
The single "It's My Time" is currently going for ads at Gospel radio. Ken Harding (President of New Haven) announced that the lyric video is now available on YouTube. The single is currently available on iTunes, Amazon and wherever digital music is sold.
