Otherwise, here is what you get from the 5 Megapixel ‘Selfie’ phone. Lumia 730 runs on Windows Phone 8.1, and comes with a Quad-Core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, and an Adreno 305 GPU. The device is powered by a Li-Ion 2200 mAh battery. It comes with a 6.7 megapixel back camera and an impressive 5 megapixel front camera. No wonder it’s also called a ‘selfie’ phone. Lumia 730 has a 4.7 inch ClearBlack IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The images are surely sharp and bright. It also comes with a Clear back display technology. It also comes with an 8GB internal memory storage with a 1GB RAM, and the memory is expandable up to 128GB using the microSD card slot. The Lumia 730 measures 5.3 x 2.7 x 0.34 inches and weighs approximately 130 grams. Other features include Wi-Fi, 3G/2G, GPS, Nokia HERE Maps, NFC, Bluetooth and so on. Nokia Lumia 730 is currently sold with a price of about $228.

Yet, with the newer A8 chip in the new iPhone 6, Apple claims the new iPhone has a 25% faster processing power and a 50% faster graphics. The new iPhone also comes with a camera that works better in low-light than its previous ones. It now has the Focus Pixels for a faster and quicker focus. While the S5 seem to have better detailed images, the new iPhone 6 seems to offer better image quality. iPhone 6, with a better system but a larger screen, has a battery life similar to the previous iPhone 5S. This makes Samsung S5 the longer-lasting device, as its replaceable 2,800mAh battery lasts 17h 30m in a video playback test. The bottom line is this: iPhone 6 is slimmer and lighter with a better design and (maybe) display, but as for everything else, the S5 makes a great competitive close match. As for deciding which is better, iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy S5, it all boils down to preference.

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Amazon might soon open an actual retail store in New York: “Amazon.com Inc. plans to open a store in the middle of New York City, according to people familiar with the plans, the first brick-and-mortar outlet in its 20-year history and an experiment to provide the type of face-to-face experience found at traditional retailers”. The report also mentioned that the retail store may open during the holiday season: “The site, set to open in time for the holiday-shopping season on the same busy street as Macy's Inc.'s flagship store, would mark an attempt by Amazon to connect with customers in the physical world” Amazon Fire phone was officially released in July for the US, and it is the company’s very first smartphone to date. Unfortunately, the Fire phone hasn’t been received well by the public, getting negative reviews, declining sales and a dropped price. The new retail store might just help get the attention of some “touchy-feely” consumers. As for the Fire phone, it’s powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, and has 2GB RAM, with a choice between a 32GB or a 64GB internal storage. There is no storage expansion. The Fire also comes with Adreno 330 GPU that creates great graphics. It runs on the same OS as Amazon’s Fire tablets, and it has 3D-like visuals. The Fire has a 4.7 inch IPS LCD touchscreen, and the resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels with 312ppi pixel density. You’ll also find a volume button and a camera/Firefly button at the left side. The gadget weighs 158 grams and is 9mm thick. It also comes with flush glass panels for both the front and the back. It also has a top-mounted headphone socket and sleep/wake button. The Fire phone also comes with a microUSB port, which you’ll find at the bottom, and a home button below the screen. Stereo speakers are found at the top and bottom edges. It also comes with a four corner-mounted sensors. Its 13 megapixel camera has optical image stabilization, autofocus, and LED flash. There’s also a 2.1 megapixel camera at the front. The smartphone is 4G LTE capable, and has GPRS, EDGE, 802.11 dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and NFC. As for the price, Amazon Fire smartphone was initially priced at $199 for the 32GB, and $299 for the 64GB, with a 2-year contract, but it is said that Amazon recently cut the prices drastically. This is due to the unexpected decline in sales. The Fire phone is now said to only cost 99 cents.

For now, here is what we know about the Lumia 1525. The 1525 is expected to run on Windows Phone 8.1, with its SoC upgraded to a Snapdragon 801. Another source points out that the 1525 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip with Adreno 420 graphics. It also comes with a voice based assistant “Cortana”. The Lumia phablet is expected to have a 6 inch touchscreen with a Full HD Display of 1080p. It is also said to come with a 3GB RAM, 3,400mAh battery, a microSD slot and a probable 30 megapixel camera. The rest of the features are expected to be a lot similar to its predecessor, Lumia 1520. Nokia Lumia 1520 was well-praised for its form and camera performance last year, so we can expect the next phablet to come with features that will further please its users. As for the price, we can speculate the 1525 to have a similar price with the Lumia 1520.

It will now support NFC and 4G LTE. The better news is that the new BlackBerry will be priced at an entry level. BlackBerry Classis is leaning towards the business use appeal. Based on the prototype images, the new BlackBerry appears to have stereo speakers and external nano-SIM or microSD card slots. It is also said that Q20 has better color reproduction than the previous Q10, and that the new Blackberry is using the 10.3 OS update, which is supposedly an unreleased OS. It also seems thinner than the 9900 we know. The keyboard also seems easier to use, offering a better typing experience. As for the price, BlackBerry Q20 is going to cost around $235 to $250 with contract.

    NBA News: University of Kentucky Wildcats Coach Holds “Pro Day” For NBA Head-Hunters Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari hosted this weekend at the University’s practice facility what he termed a "pro day," a Kentucky-only mini-draft combine for the benefit of the 90 or so NBA talent scouts and executives who came to window shop for draft prospects. It was also even partly televised courtesy of ESPN which sent Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Avery Johnson to cover the event according to the New York Times. Scott Anderson of CBS Sports joined in Calipari’s first-of-its-kind marketing campaign for his wards at the university. Anderson said that “Kentucky has 10 legitimate prospects that could eventually make the NBA.” Of them, he ranked power forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns, who has a 6-foot-11 frame with a 7-3 wingspan. Said he of his top pick candidate from Kentucky: “Towns is one of three players in the top tier of my draft board, along with Duke's Jahlil Okafor and former SMU prospect Emmanuel Mudiay, now playing in China. Towns is a skilled, fluid athlete for his size that can both attack from the midrange and step out and hit a collegiate three-pointer. He's the ideal modern NBA big man. Not only can he step out and space the floor so attacking guards don't have to go up against the trees in the paint, but he can also protect the rim on the other end of the floor and make it difficult to finish over him. He's not an Anthony Davis-level athlete (who is?), but at 250 pounds he's much better equipped to play the center position in the NBA. It wouldn't surprise me if Towns is the runaway number one pick by the end of the season. His potential is that vast. But for now, he settles in as the number two overall prospect behind Okafor.” Adam Himmelsbach of USA Today asked an NBA scout who requested not to be named for his own top pick candidate and he also chose Towns. I wouldn't say there's anything hugely different that we got out of it that we wouldn't have gotten from a normal practice.” However, ESPN’s Bilas, according to the New York Times, found himself in a quandary as to “whether Kentucky’s advantage was fair and suggested that it took a ‘third-grade mentality’ to say it was ‘not fair, not fair.’” He added that “maybe the N.C.A.A. will say no to the next university that tries it.”

The Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Milwaukee Bucks have already gotten in touch with his agents since he became an unrestricted free agent. Allen is the NBA’s all-time leader in three-point field goals made both during regular season and postseason. He is also a ten-time NBA All-Star and a winner of two NBA championships. In his 18-year career in the NBA, he has averaged 18.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 45.2% from the field, 40.0% from beyond the arc and 89.4% from the free throw line. Of the six teams, the Wizards, the Bucks and the Cavaliers seem to have the better chance of getting Allen to sign up. However, according to J. Michael of CSNWashington, “the Wizards have contacted Allen's representatives at Tandem Sports and Entertainment several times...[but]...the prospect of being a starter again with [Bradley] Beal's absence isn't likely to make Washington any more enticing for Allen...” With respect to the Bucks, Michael says, “Allen spent the first six-plus seasons of his career in Milwaukee, and the franchise's pitch was a chance to end things where they began. Creative and worth a shot? Yes. Did it work? No.” He adds, “suffice to say the Cavs are the front-runners as GM David Griffin has been in contact as recently as a few days ago..” Griffin is still hopeful that they can get Allen. Said he in a talk with the Morning Journal: “Until he signs, that’s going to be a target for everybody. Ray is someone who fits us as a shooter. His championship pedigree fits us at a really high level. With James, Mike and LeBron here, I think he’d feel comfortable with our group. At the same time, it’s possible he’s not sure he wants to keep playing. He’s in no hurry to make a decision. We’ll play that out as far as we can.” Allen himself hasn’t decided yet if he would still continue playing, or he will just retire before he is 40-years-old. As gathered by CBS Sports, he said in an interview: “To continue playing, really, the only argument is I can because I'm in great shape. But just because you can doesn't mean you have to. Many people over these last couple of weeks have lobbied for me to continue to play. My argument for not playing is, I have done a significant amount in my career and I appreciate everything that has come my way and as I've gotten older, I'm 39, there are so many things in life I want to be able to do to affect change -- like being around kids full time, which I enjoy.”

However, the game publisher is presently already promoting CM Punk’s past rivalries with John Cena as a major selling point for the WWE 2K15 game which will come out in stores beginning October 28. Reworking the gaming programs at this late stage may therefore no longer be an option. A more likely scenario may involve settlements on the royalty payment terms and conditions.     Interstellar, A Movie By Cristopher Nolan, Aims To Re-Kindle Interest In Manned Space Travel Paramount’s Interstellar is scheduled for release starting November 7. According to studio sources, the film tells the story of mankind’s desperate attempt to turn to the stars for its continued survival. Interstellar is directed by Christopher Nolan based on a script he co-wrote with his brother Jonathan. The Interstellar cast includes Mathew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway (as his co-pilot), Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Topher Grace, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, Matt Damon, David Gyasi, Elyes Gabel, and Thimothee Chalamet. The filming which began in August concluded in December of last year. It was revealed that the earth scenes were filmed in Fort Macleod, Alberta, while the alien world scenes were shot in Iceland. The Interstellar movie plot is set at an era when most governments and economies have already collapsed, and much of the world is hungry and in ruins because of the effects of climate change. Then, a glimmer of hope was found upon discovery of a wormhole through which voyage through the space-time continuum may become possible. An elite crew was assembled, including Cooper (played by McConaughey), a widowed engineer and farmer who will have to leave his young children behind, in order to pilot the ship that will be making the interstellar voyage in its mission to look for a new and more habitable world for mankind. To promote the upcoming Interstellar film, Nolan and McConaughey made an appearance during the July San Diego Comic-Con. There the two took to the stage to briefly talk and answer questions from the fans before the screening of their teaserInterstellar movie trailer. McConaughey described Interstellar as “by far the most ambitious film that Christopher Nolan has ever directed.” And Nolan, he says, is “always out for original. Everything he has to do, it has to be original.” Nolan told the audience that Interstellar was really "about human beings and what it is to be human." The trailer, as described by The Guardian, “shows an awards-friendly combination of cosmic wonder and emotional gravity.” On his motivations for doing the film, Nolan said, “I grew up in a time when to be an astronaut was the highest ambition of any child. I felt that had fallen off greatly over the last couple of decades. It has been a period of great technological change — very much related to what’s in your pocket and what’s in your living room.”
