  • The Assassin's Creed
The Assassin’s Creed Experience Takes Another Notch Higher, But Will The Assassin’s Creed Movie Turn As Great As The Game Itself?

The Assassin’s Creed Experience Takes Another Notch Higher, But Will The Assassin’s Creed Movie Turn As Great As The Game Itself? Just a few months ago, we have heard that Ubisoft’s popular and award-winning the Assassin’s Creed game franchise will have a movie adaptation and the release is expected to hit the cinemas on the 7th of August 2015. Is this piece of news for real or is it just to stir up fans? Well, apparently, it is all for real because Michael Fassbender is set to produce the motion picture of the Assassin’s Creed and star in it. However, there is no confirmation yet if he will take the lead role as Desmond Miles. What is more interesting is that gamers and critics alike are wondering how the film will fare since movie versions of popular games that have been released in cinemas have fallen short of expectations. But Fassbender assures everyone that the adaptation will respect the game and will add new elements in the movie. He explained further that the Assassin’s Creed movie will be more of a feature film and not as a game itself. So, will the Assassin’s Creed movie win the approval of gamers? Or will it be a major disappointment? We will soon find out. For now, we’ll have to sit and wait for the latest developments on the film and watch out for how the Assassin’s Creed movie trailer will look like. While we are doing that, we have the game to keep ourselves busy.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Update: Now Samsung’s Going Metal, Samsung Galaxy Alpha A5, the New Rival of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Samsung is ready to compete, yet again, against its major competitor in terms of build and design. The recent iPhone 6 and 6 Plus has gotten bad reviews due to the ‘bending’ problem. Now, here is the speculated Samsung Galaxy S6, coming in all metals, they say. The competition implies pressure for the Samsung guys to release the S6 soon enough. After all, SamMobile published a report stating that Samsung is ready to unveil the Alpha device but is still working on its final touches. The rumored S6 is codenamed “SM-A500”, and also called the Samsung Galaxy Alpha A5. Unlike the previous Galaxy Alpha and Note 4, the rumored device will have metals all over, not just at the edge parts of the smartphone. This is totally new to the Samsung world of smartphone devices. What are the speculated specs? The upcoming Alpha A5 is expected to come with a 5-inch display, a 3,840 x 2,160 pixel resolution, with a fully-curved screen. It’s likely powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810, while running on Android 5. It should also come with a 16/32/128GB of internal storage memory that can be expanded with a microSD. It may also come with a 16 or a 20-megapixel camera. The SamMobile report also suggests that the device may come with the TouchWiz interface, as in the one in Samsung’s Note 4. The Galaxy Alpha A5 might show up at the Mobile World Congress on March 2-5 next year, but let’s bet that Samsung will and can push for an earlier release date.

Minecraft Pocket Edition Update for Windows Phone Users: Game Developers Confirmed Development of Minecraft for Windows Phone via Twitter

Minecraft Pocket Edition Update for Windows Phone Users: Game Developers Confirmed Development of Minecraft for Windows Phone via Twitter Windows Phone users have been waiting for their version of the Minecraft: Pocket Edition for a while now, but now, we have a solid release update on the matter. The game’s developer, Jens Bergensten, tweeted that the Windows Phone port for the game “runs already”, confirming that the game “is coming to the Windows Phone”, but that “there’s still much to do before any release”. Tommaso Checchi, the game’s PE developer, added that the Windows Phone port runs slow and requires more work. This means that the game’s release for the Windows Phone will indeed take longer. Bergensten also tweeted, “Let me clarify: With the help of MS, we’ve been working on a MC:PE Windows Phone port for a while, already before MS bought Mojang. Ok?” Checchi tweeted, “And nobody forced/threatened us if you’re wondering! Actually, we started before the whole Microsoft thing”. What they mean by MS or Microsoft here is that the game company ‘Mojang’ was recently bought by Microsoft, and there were speculations that the only reason the game is coming to Windows Phone is the buyout. They wanted to clarify, as in their Tweets, that they were already working on the game for the Windows Phone version even before the buyout. Fortunately for other smartphone users, their versions of the game have been available, including the iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire phone users. Soon enough, PS Vita will also have its version of the game. Just you wait, Windows Phone users, we’ll keep you posted for more Minecraft PE updates.

  • Samsung and Facebook
Samsung and Facebook Collaboration: Working on a Smartphone Together, Another Attempt at a Facebook-Centric Device

Samsung and Facebook Collaboration: Working on a Smartphone Together, Another Attempt at a Facebook-Centric Device According to The Korea Herald and The Korea Times, the refreshingly new collaboration between Samsung and Facebook may happen soon, with the HTC taking a part in the whole new smartphone plan. They reported that the heads of the two companies met at Samsung’s headquarters in Seoul one time, as in the Facebook CEO being Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg, while Samsung vice charman being Lee Jay-yong. The report also stated that the Samsung president, Jong-Kyun Shin, showed up at the meeting too. Korea Times said that the two companies agreed to work and develop a mobile content together. Quoting the Times, “As Facebook is focusing on an ecosystem in social networks, the company needs a trustable business partner in hardware and I believe Samsung is the right company”. Korea Times also said, “They also discussed some futuristic business projects because officials at Samsung Open Innovation Centre in Silicon Valley also flew to Korea to address some challenging issues that the parties are facing”. There were already attempts made in the past when we speak of Facebook trying to come up with a Facebook-centric phone, and I mean the HTC’s ChaCha and the HTC First. HTC’s ChaCha featured a Facebook button that allows users to instantly post things on their Facebook walls. The HTC First had a Facebook Home OS, a software sort of Android. Unfortunately, both projects failed miserably. As a matter of fact, Samsung and Facebook already worked together. Oculus is owned by Facebook, and Oculus partnered with Samsung for a headset device called “GearVR”. What’s Oculus? Oculus is a virtual reality company, and they helped Samsung come up with their GearVR headset. So, it’s no surprise that Facebook and Samsung are going to get creative together on a smartphone.

  • Galaxy Note 4
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review: Looks the Same, but Performs Better, What We Love about the New Note 4, Specs, Features and Price

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review: Looks the Same, but Performs Better, What We Love about the New Note 4, Specs, Features and Price We can say that Samsung’s Galaxy Note started the “phablet” trend, the now popular hybrid of smartphones and tablets. It was the first smartphone to appear with a big screen, 5.3 inches to be exact, and the rest was history; the competition for the best smartphone tablet started since then, with Apple’s iPhone making its recent entry in the phablet category. Don’t forget Google’s new Nexus 6 and 9, boasting their bigger displays. Now, here’s Samsung Galaxy Note 4, with more specs and features to compete further with the rest of the smartphone world. One thing you’ve got to appreciate about Samsung and their Note series is in their consistency. Samsung’s Note 4 follows the predecessors’ design, while making a little change here and there. Some design features in the previous Note didn’t appeal to some, but the Note is now back with aluminum sides, chamfered edges and smooth curves, seemingly following the sophisticated look of its competitor. Over-all, there has only been a minor tweak on the design. Maybe there’s something to that. Maybe they want the users to still ‘feel at home’ when upgrading their Note to Note 4. The display is at its best. Note 4 upgraded its screen resolution from 1080p to Quad HD. The change might be hard to notice, but you’ve got to appreciate the stunning display. The Super AMOLED panel shows bright and vibrant colors without becoming oversaturated, and the screen is surely easier to view from every angle. Note 4 now has a heart rate monitor, with sensors for ultraviolet rays and blood oxygen levels. The S Pen is only slightly modified, but pretty similar to the previous one, except it’s twice as sensitive to pressure as the previous one. No wonder you can now enjoy calligraphy, with fancy letters and numbers, using the Note 4 Pen. One-handed experience with your Note is now better too, by far the best. Making previous Note tasks way easier to do with a single hand. Galaxy Note 4 will be available in all major US carriers starting this month. Note 4 is priced $300 with a 2-year contract from AT&T, Sprint, US Cellular and Verizon, and $750 if payment’s spread-out over 2 years with the T-Mobile.

Microsoft and OnePlus: Working on Windows Phone 8? OnePlus Plan to Expand Market and New OS Device, Windows Phone 8 May be the Next Target

Microsoft and OnePlus: Working on Windows Phone 8? OnePlus Plan to Expand Market and New OS Device, Windows Phone 8 May be the Next Target Microsoft has been working with Nokia to produce affordable quality smartphones that run on Windows Phone 8. Now, Microsoft might start working with OnePlus, a Chinese company known for their “OnePlus One” smartphone, to make future Windows Phone 8 devices. OnePlus One is known as a 5.5-inch high-end smartphone that sells for half the price of competing Androids out there. The device runs on CyanogenMod, an Android-derived OS. OnePlus is thinking about expanding its market elsewhere, and also work with other operating systems, just like the Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8. OnePlus Global director Carl Pei said, “We have had discussions with Microsoft over a Windows Phone smartphone. We are still looking into it”. The director did not provide further details. It is unclear whether Microsoft and OnePlus are going to design a brand new device or a variant of the OnePlus One. Oneplus One is already known for its perfect integration of hardware and CyanogenMod. This and a Windows Phone 8 might just be the next best thing to the already powerful and bigger handset that a OnePlus One is. For the meantime, the Chinese company is planning to release a OnePlus 2 device, officially confirming its development last month at a Reddit AMA event. The device is ready to launch next year. There are also rumors of a OnePlus smartwatch, but that is yet to be confirmed.

  • Vertu for Bentley
What You Need to Know about Bentley’s New Matching Smartphone – the “Vertu for Bentley”, Worth the Price? It’s Certainly Worth the Brand

What You Need to Know about Bentley’s New Matching Smartphone – the “Vertu for Bentley”, Worth the Price? It’s Certainly Worth the Brand Bentley now comes with a matching smartphone, as the British company Vertu is now selling a Bentley smartphone for£10,700. The new smartphone is called “Vertu for Bentley”. Vertu signed a 5-year contract with Bentley for the smartphone, as engineers from both companies worked together to design the new Vertu device. This is the very first smartphone made in collaboration of both companies. As for the specs, the Vertu smartphone comes with a 64GB internal storage memory and a 2.3GHz processor. It’s not much if you compare it to many other smartphones in the market today. The most prominent feature of the device is its concierge service. Owners can get a 24-hour assistant and inquire about anything you can think of from the Vertu staff. As for the design, the chief executive Massimiliano Pogliani says it best: “contemporary embodiment of English craftsmanship”. The Bentley phone is covered in calf leather, with a Bentley shade of Newmarket Tan. It’s also stitched in a diamond pattern. The case comes in a lightweight titanium, with a diamond knurling. Each device comes with a metal ‘B’ wings motif on the front. It also comes with a complimentary case with a Bentley logo. Vertu was Nokia’s fashion brand, boasting the line’s design and craftsmanship. Every Bentley handset is made by a single worker, with the worker’s signature marked on the handset. Check the back cover of the Vertu smartphone and you’ll find the craftsman’s signature on the inside. In the past, Vertu’s previous devices sold well among markets in Asia, Russia and in the Middle East. It is hard to say if the Vertu smartphone is worth the £10,700, but it is a luxury item after all; you don’t need the device, but you’d definitely want the brand, just like the car it pairs with.

Google’s Official Launching of Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and Nexus Player – Google’s First Android TV, Release Dates and Prices, Soon Available for Pre-Order

Nexus 9 is an 8.9-inch phablet made by HTC. Nexus 6 is a 6-inch smartphone by Motorola Mobility, and Nexus Player is a streaming media player made by Asus. Nexus Player is the very first device to run on Android TV. Nexus 9 is Google’s first phablet device, finally entering the market of smartphone and tablet hybrid. Nexus 6, on the other hand, already beats both the recent iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by the screen size. Regarding the Nexus Player, the vice-president of Android engineering, Hiroshi Lockheimer, is confident that it’s going to please many users, as the company learned from their previous attempts and mistakes in making an Android TV, “On Google TV you could get a lot of apps, but a lot of the versions were just big tablet versions on a 50 inch screen that just didn’t feel right, we’re much more opinionated about what an app should look like on a TV set, so we’ve been working very closely with app developers in the TV and content space over the past months on optimizing their applications. You’ll see a much more focused set of applications that are higher quality”. Through the launched devices, Google also boasted their latest Android mobile OS, “Lollipop”. Surely, Google is competing well in the Android market by maximizing the Android experience, as in their Nexus devices.
