    Gotham Season 1 Episode 5 Spoilers and Preview: Gordon and Bullock Run After Drug Dealers; Penguin Gets Cozy With Marconi; Fish Preps Liza As Weapon Against Falcone Gotham Season 1 episode 5 which airs Monday, October 20, at the 8 PM time slot on the FOX network is entitled “Viper.” It will have Detectives James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) next searching for the source of a new street drug that causes euphoria which is soon followed by imminent death. In last week’s episode (Arkham), the two were seen in pursuit of a professional hit man who was hired to kill select members of the city council along with Gotham Mayor Aubrey James (Richard Kind). This time around, they will be dispatched by their boss, police captain Sarah Essen (Zabrina Guevara) to hunt down the peddlers of the new and lethal street drug. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) will continue to work his way deeper into the inner circle and higher up in the hierarchy of the Mafia faction headed by Don Salvatorre Marconi (David Zayas). Last week, Oswald already got himself promoted from dishwasher to restaurant manager by saving some of the Don’s money from an armed robbery which he himself orchestrated. In the upcoming episode though, Marconi will get to find out that Oswald used to work for his rival Don Carmine Falcone’s (John Doman) lackey, Fish Mooney (Jada Plinkett Smith). Will Marconi lose his trust on Oswald or will he use him to his advantage in his fight against Falcone? Elsewhere, Fish will begin developing the singer Liza (Makenzie Leigh) as a weapon in her plot to wrest control from her boss, Don Falcone. The other cast members of Gotham are Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya, and Andrew Stewart Jones as Crispus Allen. Also gust starring for next Monday’s episode are Daniel London as Stan Potolsky, Kett Turton as Busker, Genevieve Hudson-Price as Charmagne, Peter Maloney as Isaac Steiner; Margaret Colin as Taylor Reece, Jeremy Davidson as Nikolai, and Danny Mastrogiorgio as Frankie Carbone.

Meanwhile, Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Peter Mills (Charlie Barnett) seem to have already settled into their new roles at Station 51.However, Casey’s frame of mind at the moment could endanger both himself and his fiancé, the now firefighter candidate Dawson. In particular, it could affect how he will react to an emergency situation when a scorching fire requires him and Gabby to hang from a rope down the side of burning building. In the teaser trailer for the episode, Dawson tells him, “I got a problem. This cable – it’s not working.” And all he could say back was, “Come on, Gabby. You can do this,” even as their team looks up at them with worry. The stuck cable traps them next to a window which burst open as a result of the fire, causing them to swing and sway around helplessly by the side of the burning building. Elsewhere, Paramedic Sylvie Brett of Ambulance 61 (Kara Kilmer) will have to face an ultimatum in episode 5 which requires her to decide whether she would want to stay in Chicago as Leslie Shay’s replacement or to return to her former life. Still elsewhere, the Molly’s crew still has to figure out how to get their new food truck business started. The food truck was brought in by Firefighter Rick Newhouse (Edwin Hodge) in exchange for a partnership in the venture with the Molly’s II group during this season’s episode 3.

    NBA To Use Nets v Celtics Preseason Contest To Test A New, Shorter Game Format The NBA on Tuesday announced that it will play a 44-minute game during the 2014 NBA preseason when the Brooklyn Nets host the Boston Celtics at the Barclays Center on October 19 to examine the flow of a shorter game as compared to the standard 48-minute game. NBA President for Basketball Operations Rod Thorn said: “At our recent coaches' meeting, we had a discussion about the length of our games, and it was suggested that we consider experimenting with a shorter format. After consulting with our Competition Committee, we agreed to allow the Nets and Celtics to play a 44-minute preseason game in order to give us some preliminary data that will help us to further analyze game-time lengths.” Under the experimental new format, the contest between the Nets and the Celtics on Sunday will be four minutes shorter than the NBA's standard 48-minute game as it will feature four 11-minute quarters. There will also be two mandatory timeouts per quarter. One will come at the first dead ball under 6:59 of the period if neither team has taken a timeout prior, and the second will be triggered by the first dead ball under 2:59 if neither team has taken a timeout since the first mandatory timeout. Under the standard format, there are three mandatory timeouts in the second and fourth quarters of a 48-minute game. The Nets and the Celtics are willing participants in the trial run for the shorter game format. According to Nets Head Coach Lionel Hollins, “When this idea came up at the coaches' meeting, I thought it was a unique experiment that was worth participating in. I'm looking forward to gauging its impact on the flow of the game. Since there is a shorter clock, it affects playing time, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays into substitution patterns.” Celtics Head Coach Brad Stevens said, “I appreciate the NBA's long history of forward thinking and willingness to try new ideas. We told the NBA that we'd be happy to participate in this trial during a preseason game. I look forward to experiencing it and continuing the dialogue after October 19.”

From the 44-second trailer that runs in Japanese, some of the main characters expected to be in included in the movie are shown, such as the speaking dragon Shernon and Goku. Reports also reveal that the plot will include rivals Piccolo and Vegeta as allies instead of enemies. Rumors even more so suggest that there is going to be the appearance of an evil Goku. What more could be in store in the upcoming Dragon Ball Z 2015? Perhaps we shall only find out on May 2015! (Only in Japan this time, though—release outside of Japan is yet to be revealed.)

Yet, we have high hopes that this won’t be the case with the upcoming PS4 Gran Turismo 7. The CEO of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, commented during an interview with GamesTM: “Everything will be running naturally, PS3 was much, much more difficult. The high quality of data that we have being rendered on the PS4 I think is going to make an incredible difference”. He also thinks it’s going to be much easier to develop the upcoming game on PS4 than it has been for the previous PS3 version. Yamauchi added, “For GT7, myself and my staff have a clear vision: to do everything we couldn’t do in GT6. We want to make it very Gran Turismo. By that I mean it’s going to be a game that matches the very era that we live in, in 2015 or 2016”. The track's called 'Up,' and I'm very excited she's on it. I think it's a really cool song. I've always wanted to do a duet with -- we were looking around, trying to figure out who to get. We did ask quite a few different artists at different points, but we didn't quite work out…Demi was the perfect person. She was, I think, kind of what I needed on this album”. As for Demi’s upcoming album, she told MTV, “it won’t come out for a while but I have started and have worked on some stuff that is really amazing and I can’t wait for people to hear it”, adding that the new album is going to be “more organic” than her previous ones. “I’m ready to take it to a whole other level”, the singer said, expressing her enthusiasm for the next album. She shared further, “You know, it’s funny, sometimes I’ll say I want to make a more country album or I want to make a more rock album or I want to make an R&B album and it’s like, I will never know until all the songs are on the actual album. Because what happens is I love all different types of music, I’m literally influenced by every single type of music there is…I’ll never know until I decide which songs are on the album and it may be a compilation of different types and it may all just be pop or it may take on a life of its own”, stating that she doesn’t like to label herself to any genre.
