The Clark Sisters Join Mariah Carey on New Album: “It Was Like Family”

Legendary gospel icons The Clark Sisters have teamed up with global superstar Mariah Carey on her brand-new album Here for It All, bringing their unmistakable harmonies to the worship anthem "Jesus I Do." The collaboration marks a historic meeting of two powerhouse forces in music - blending Carey's soaring vocals with the Clark Sisters' signature gospel sound.
For Carey, who has long cited the Clark Sisters as some of her greatest inspirations, the recording session was a dream come true. "It was just like a miracle - they were The Clark Sisters, and there they were sitting next to me in the studio. I have no words for how amazing that was," Carey shared. She described the experience as both humbling and electrifying, admitting she felt "butterflies" and "shaking a little" as the session began.
The Clark Sisters, celebrated worldwide for their trailblazing role in modern gospel, echoed the sentiment, describing the studio atmosphere as warm, spiritual, and familial. "From the first note, it felt like family," they said. "Mariah's heart for gospel music was so genuine, and the connection was instant. It wasn't just a recording - it was worship."
"Jesus I Do" stands as one of the album's most anticipated tracks, embodying the soul-stirring energy that happens when gospel heritage meets pop royalty. The collaboration highlights Carey's deep respect for gospel tradition while showcasing the Clark Sisters' enduring influence on generations of artists.
Here for It All is available now on all streaming platforms.
