Graham Kendrick Celebrates 50 Years Since His Debut Album with New Music
Uk-based worship leader Graham Kendrick has been described as "the father of modern worship music." This year Kendrick is celebrating the 50th year since the release of his debut album. To celebrate this special anniversary Graham Kendrick has collaborated with producer Jake Isaac to record an EP of story songs.
The Where It Began EP takes Graham back to the days of narrative story telling, when coffee bars and folk clubs were his venue of choice. The first track "The Darkness (feat. Lurine Cato)" is released this Friday 18th March. Lurine says: "It was an honour to be featured on this beautiful song by Graham Kendrick. The poetic nature of the lyrics compliment the melody to tell a story with depth and anointing."
The full Where it Began EP is released on all the usual streaming and download platforms on April 8th.
Graham is based in the UK and travels internationally participating in tours, festivals, conferences and training events, as a worship leader, speaker and performer.
He is an active advocate for the charity Compassion International, encouraging audiences worldwide to understand worship as a way of life, and true intimacy with God as sharing in the concerns of his heart and participating in his mission to the world. Compassion operates in over 24 nations and facilitates the support of over a million children.
Graham was one of the founders and the songwriter behind the global phenomenon March for Jesus, which has mobilised millions of Christians to 'take the walls of the church' and bring praise, prayer and acts of goodwill and reconciliation on to the streets.
