Balsam Range's Darren Nicholson Talks About New Single "The Rambler"

Balsam Range

IBMA Entertainer of the Year Balsam Range's latest single, "The Rambler," is about life on the road and the toll it can take. Mandolin player Darren Nicholson takes the lead vocal on this track that puts the loneliness one feels into words.

"It's my favorite song I've ever recorded," says Nicholson. "That song just brought tears to my eyes. It impacted me."

Balsam Range vocalist and fiddler Buddy Melton adds, "A great song paints a beautiful picture but allows the listener to choose the colors to fit their place in life. When that song is performed by someone who feels a deep connection to the lyrics and performs it with feeling and passion, it is a powerful piece of art. Such is the case with our current feature song, 'The Rambler.'"
