for KING and COUNTRY Receives GRAMMY Nomination for No.1 Single, "joy."

It was announced today that Australian duo for KING & COUNTRY received some good tidings this holiday season - a GRAMMY nomination for the massive No. 1 single "joy." in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance / Song category. This marks four career GRAMMY nominations as the group hopes to add to its two previous GRAMMY Award wins.
Joel and Luke Smallbone state, "We are so grateful to have woken up to a bombardment of text messages sharing the news about "joy."'s GRAMMY nod. Our intent for this song has always been for it to become a unifying anthem in a time of struggle and division - with the hope that we will choose a powerful and unassuming three letter word. Seeing that message resonate shows what the power of music can be."
A poignant song with a message of hope and positivity, "joy." has been celebrated as for KING & COUNTRY's most successful single to date. The track debuted at No. 1 on the Christian Digital Sales chart and No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart (which blends airplay, streaming and sales), marking an unprecedented debut on both charts. In addition, the song debuted on Billboard's (ALL GENRE) Digital Song Sales chart at No. 26 making it the duo's highest debut on that chart. After appearing out of the gate on Spotify's "New Music Friday" and "Pop Rising" playlists, "joy." went on to reach Spotify's Top 50 Global and Viral 50 USA charts.
for KING & COUNTRY is currently out on the road with the Little Drummer Boy | The Christmas Tour, which so far has produced three SOLD-OUT shows, including Reading, PA; Fairfax, VA; and tonight's performance in Cleveland, OH. The band's holiday studio release, Christmas LIVE From Phoenix, currently sits at #3 on the iTunes Top Christian albums chart.
