Pebble Steel Smartwatch Features & Review: Don't Drop this Pebble Just Yet!
The Pebble Steel smartwatch is surely great-looking; its designs improved a little since the last Pebble in 2013, and it is notable mostly for its looks. But how are its specs and price doing now? The watch seems a lot like the previous one, except with a stainless steel frame. But don't drop this Pebble just yet!
The Pebble Steel has a high-end construction. It is both fashionable and functional. By using an iPhone or Android control application, a growing number of apps can be added or deleted from the watch. It does the little but important things that you need from your phone, like weather reports and notifications. There is now an app store for the watch, too. The Steel also offers a software upgrade. Yet, the watch can only hold 8 apps at a time, and its Fitness apps don't offer much. It also has no microphone, speaker, touch screen, or color display. To add, the watch costs $249, $100 more than the previous 2013 Pebble, with no new hardware improvements.
So we're back to praising its looks. The layout of the new Pebble is similar to the previous one. The new one, though, has a stainless steel chassis frame with a Gorilla Glass screen. This adds a little more of that classic, sophisticated feel to it. The watch comes either in a black leather band or a stainless steel band or both. Either way, this new Pebble Steel beats other smartwatches when it comes to its simplicity and good looks.
The Pebble Steel is surely worth wearing and using, but is it worth buying? The Pebble Steel Smartwatch definitely looks great, and it only offers a little more than the previous Pebble, with a higher price, but then again, it surely looks great!
