Leanna Crawford Wins New Artist of the Year at 56th GMA Dove Awards

Leanna Crawford was honored with the coveted New Artist of the Year award at the 56th Annual GMA Dove Awards earlier this week, which was held October 7 at the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville and aired exclusively on TBN this evening. Crawford also delivered a moving performance of her nominated song, "Still Waters (Psalm 23)," captivating audiences both in the arena and nationwide.
For her performance, Crawford was joined by members of the Lipscomb University Choir and Orchestra, creating a stirring and memorable moment. "Still Waters (Psalm 23)" honors her Great Aunt Maurine, whose love of Scripture had a profound impact on Leanna and her family. The performance was further elevated by Crawford's elegant custom gown designed by Johnathan Kayne and jewelry by David Yurman.
Crawford was nominated in four categories this year: Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for "Still Waters (Psalm 23)," Christmas Recorded Song of the Year for "We Sing Joy to the World" (with Seph Schlueter), and New Artist of the Year, in which she took home the latter honor.
Crawford's New Artist of the Year win underscores a remarkable year for the singer/songwriter. Earlier in 2025, she also received a K-LOVE Fan Award for Breakout Single of the Year with "Still Waters (Psalm 23)," further cementing her place as one of Christian music's most inspiring new voices. The title track garnered over 90 million global on-demand streams, while the full-length album has amassed over 150million US on-demand streams.
"What a surreal night getting to celebrate all the things God is doing in the Christian and gospel music community," shared the acclaimed singer/songwriter. "I felt so honored to be a part of it and I'm still overwhelmed. God is so kind, and I can't believe I get to write songs with friends and work with so many amazing people who push me closer to the Lord. To God be the glory!"
Following the success of her debut full-length album, which features 14 tracks including fan favorites "Make It Through," "How Can You Not," and "Vow To Be Yours," Crawford recently released her latest radio single, "Honest," which is currently climbing the charts and sits in the Top 13 at Christian Radio, bringing on 12 million streams.
Fans can catch Crawford on tour with labelmate Ben Fuller, We The Kingdom, and Zach Williams on the Revival Nights Tour through the end of October. Then, starting Nov. 6 in Xenia, OH, she will embark on the fall leg of her headlining Still Waters Tour, which concludes November 23 in Waterville, ME. The tour follows Crawford's sold-out spring headlining run earlier this year.
