Cody Carnes Explains Why His New Single Makes Him Cry
Cody Carnes released his first-ever live recorded album last year. He is now back with new, live recorded music with the release of the song, "Who Is This Man," the first track from an upcoming live album. The brand new single was captured along with the forthcoming album at a special two-night worship event last summer that also birthed his debut live album, God Is Good!.
"I'm so excited to announce another live album, starting with this first song 'Who Is This Man,'" shares Cody Carnes. "This song makes me cry every time I hear it. This live moment is so full of the presence of God. Every lyric of this song points to Jesus. The lyrics are inspired by the disciples being constantly amazed at Jesus and the miracles that followed that they would ask 'who is this man?' I pray this song leads you to Jesus as you listen and worship along with us."
Recorded at his church base, The Belonging Co., the new album will release later this year. From God Is Good!, Carnes' current radio single, "Ain't Nobody," is currently in its fourth week inside the Top 10 at Mediabase Christian Audience and continuing to climb. Already in his career, Carnes has been nominated three times for a GRAMMY Award and currently has 15 songs on the CCLI Top 2000 chart as a songwriter.
Carnes embarked on his first headlining tour earlier this year with worship leader Benjamin William Hastings and is currently wrapping up the "West Coast Blessing Tour" with his wife Kari Jobe and Martin Smith. This summer fans can catch him on the Worship Together Nights tour. Click here to see all of his current and upcoming tour dates.
