Run51 Combats the Problem of Busyness with "Tempo"
Atlanta-based worship team Run51 has released their brand new DREAM Records single "Tempo." Written by Kelby Dover, David Moffitt, Jason Burris, Jeremy Green, Chaz Miles, Joshua Norwood, Genie Uribe, and Crystal Whitaker, the song is a prayer to God to set the pace of our lives so that we are not overwhelmed by busyness. "Tempo" was produced by Jeremy Green and Grammy nominated and Dove Award winning producer Jordan Sapp.
Run51's Jason Burris writes, "Life is crazy busy and filled with uncertainty. There is so much going on and it can be overwhelming. We don't have to jump on and off the treadmill of life hopelessly. Tempo points to that someone who is much greater than our busyness. I follow, Your lead. I dance to Your beat. 'Cause You set the tempo."
Run51 has embraced the challenge to use their love for music to point the culture to what truly satisfies. Using the language of music to cross barriers, Run51 presents a positive and inspiring message that real freedom and peace in this life, is given by God's love toward us at the Cross.
[Verse 1]
Life in slow motion, stuck in the comfort zone
Not one for the moment, surviving it on my own
The music was broken, nothing could move my soul
'Til the sound, 'til the sound of your voice singing
[Refrain]
(Oh-oh-oh-oh) You are the love I needed
(Oh-oh-oh-oh) You are what I believe in
[Pre-Chorus]
Everything I got, everything I got, everything I got, yeah
And I cannot stop, no, I cannot stop 'cause you got my heart, yeah
And you are the rhythm of freedom that's running through me, yeah
I follow, you lead, I dance to your beat 'cause you set the tempo
[Chorus]
Yeah, you set thе tempo
Yeah, you set thе tempo
[Verse 2]
Life out of focus, suddenly clearer now
I open my eyes and look at the hope I found
You light up the darkness to Technicolor
See it all, I see it all, now my heart is singing
[Chorus]
Yeah, you set the tempo
Yeah, you set the tempo
Yeah, you set the tempo
Yeah, you set the tempo
[Refrain]
(Oh-oh-oh-oh) You are the love I needed, yeah
(Oh-oh-oh-oh) You are what I believe in
(Oh-oh-oh-oh) You are the love I needed
(Oh-oh-oh-oh) You are what I believe in, yeah
[Outro]
Everything I got, everything I got, everything I got, yeah
And I cannot stop, no, I cannot stop 'cause you got my heart, yeah
And you are the rhythm of freedom that's running through me, yeah
I follow, you lead, I dance to your beat 'cause you set the tempo
