StowTown Records Artists Honored by Fans at Singing News Fan Awards Show
The fans have spoken and the winners have been announced at the annual Singing News Fan Awards. This year's show was co-hosted by StowTown artist Tim Lovelace, along with Lauren Talley and Mark Bishop, and was held at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, TN. StowTown artists Triumphant and The Collingsworth Family were honored with multiple wins in various categories.
Triumphant led with five wins, including Favorite Traditional Quartet, Favorite Song for "Chain Breaker" and Favorite Bass Singer for Eric Bennett, each for the second year in a row. They were also named this year's Favorite Artist, and their project, Thankful, was named Favorite Album. "We are completely blown away and very grateful," said Triumphant member Scotty Inman. "The confidence that has been placed in us and our ministry is humbling. It is our goal to not let anyone down along the way. To the fans who voted for us, THANK YOU!"
The Collingsworth Family was honored as Favorite Mixed Group, and Kim Collingsworth took home the award for Favorite Musician. They were the recipients of these two awards last year as well. Kim Collingsworth shares her gratitude: "I am humbled and honored to be awarded Musician of the Year at the Singing News Fan Awards this year. A big thank you to the Singing News and to each fan who voted. I love you all!"
Speaking on behalf of the entire Collingsworth Family, Phil Collingsworth said, "The amazing support shown to the Collingsworth Family and to Kim by the subscribers of The Singing News is very appreciated. They have loved on our family, purchased our music, attended our concert events and sent us thousands of notes, emails, Facebook messages, etc., and expressed how the music has been an encouragement to them, which in turn encourages us greatly. Thank you again, Singing News, for the honors bestowed on us."
While StowTown artists have been honored by industry professionals, these awards are unique in that they are voted on entirely by fans. StowTown co-owner and CEO Landon Beene summed it up, "I'm thrilled with the results of the Singing News Fan Awards and couldn't be more proud of our artists. As a company, we strive to produce and promote the best in gospel music, and we all appreciate the positive response from the fans."
The Collingsworth Family has a new project, Mercy & Love, which is breaking sales records within just three weeks of its release. It is available worldwide at retail and digital outlets and is distributed exclusively by Sony/Provident. Triumphant is currently in the studio working on their next project, which is set to release in March 2019.
