Ric Sincere Features Wife, Crys Ricks, on New EDM Single “Tell Me” Out Now
Ric Sincere offers listeners a tip on strengthening their faith on "Tell Me," the latest single from his debut album Beyond Belief due out on Sept. 28 and available for pre-order. The EDM hip hop track features his wife, Crys Ricks, singing the song's soulful, dance chorus.
Ric, who discussed Beyond Belief Saturday during an interview on the UK CHH radio show HopeJamz, explained the inspiration for "Tell Me." "'This track is a two-fold depiction of how a relationship, either between a married couple or between man and God, can suffer if personal goals and ambitions are prioritized over the well-being of the relationship," he said. "When communication suffers, ultimately it creates distance between the people involved in the relationship. For a couple, that type of distance could ultimately lead to the end of the relationship. However, in most cases, especially as it relates to God and man, those relationships can be saved and reinvigorated if true, honest, and open communication is restored. This song is meant to encourage the restoration of those precious and priceless relationships."
"It was cool," Ric said about recording with his wife for the first time. "She's really busy. She's always doing work. It's always tough to get her in the studio. When she got there it was funny. I had to be quiet and let my producer run the show. Jordan [Roe] made her feel comfortable. It was cool to see her light up like that."
"I really enjoyed the experience of being in the studio with him," Crys said. "I've seen him on the stage but it was my first time seeing him in the studio and the dedication that he puts forth in the studio is nothing like on stage. That was inspiring to me. When I was singing, I was thinking about my relationship with God. That song just reminds me to tell him how you feel. Don't ignore him. Don't feel like you can't talk to him about your needs."
Ric's last single "Spaktakulah" featuring Loso and Jeremaya is enjoying positive feedback and inspired the #SpakChallenge. Challenge participants are required to record their own 16-bar verse to the instrumental and share on Instagram. The winner will be featured on a remix of the song with Ric, Loso and Jeremaya. The deadline to submit is Sept. 15. For more information, click HERE.
A native of LaPlace, LA, Ric was recently profiled in L'Observateur, one of his hometown newspapers. "Tell Me" also follows Beyond Belief's lead single "Full Throttle."
