More to that, the former "Revenge" star Stephanie Jacobsen will be joining the cast and will take the role of Leia. This has got the fans thinking whether she will be the new love interest of Tony DiNozzo who is said to be moving on from Ziva David.
The 'Pretty Little Liars' star, Troian Bellisario is seen teasing the fans on instagram with a photo of Sean Murray and herself. The step siblings who take the roles of Sarah and Tim McGee have made their fans wonder whether they will be having a new story in the upcoming season of NCIS. As per reports from Entertainment Weekly, Stephanie Jacobsen's character is "partnered with Agent DiNozzo for a case involving an international terrorist." According to TVLine, DiNozzo said that he would meet his new love through a case. Gary Glasberg talked to TVLine and teased about what happens to some characters like Tony, Ziva and someone new in the cast. He said, "We'll be mature about it and handle it properly, and Michael's excited about it." Jacobsen's character was described by EW as, "Armed but feminine, sexy and single, cool and confident. A former U.S. Marshal-turned FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force leaser, she is flirtatious and adventurous with a sense of humor. Leia is a straight shooter, brash when she needs to be. She isn't afraid to knock down doors or egos."
Glasberg has clarified that Emily Wickersham, who takes the role of Ellie Bishop was cast as a series regular from NCIS season 12, not exactly to replace Ziva David. She said that Bishop is an addition of the NCS family. Meanwhile, Troian Bellisario posted a photo of her and Sean Murray on instagram and captioned 'reunion'.
