Hailey Bieber is making it clear that the secret to her marriage with global superstar Justin Bieber isn't fame, chemistry, or carefully curated routines - it's faith.
In a candid new interview with Elle, the 29-year-old model revealed that the most important part of their relationship is their shared commitment to following Jesus.
"Being able to share that with each other - to have that bond of faith and spirituality - is so critical for us," Hailey said. "It's the most important part of our relationship, following Jesus together, being a part of the church community together. It's everything."
The Biebers, who legally married in 2018 before hosting a widely publicized wedding celebration in South Carolina in 2019, have long been outspoken about their Christian faith. They are regular attendees of Churchome, led by pastor Judah Smith, and have frequently spoken about the role of church community in their lives.
For Hailey, faith is not a recent development but a deeply personal journey. Raised in a nondenominational Christian home in Nyack, New York, she began attending Hillsong NYC as a teenager after moving to New York. There, she said, her faith became her own.
"It started to feel like my own little community of people who were also young and following God," she explained. "Then I developed my own relationship with church and my own relationship with God, separate from being raised that way by my parents."
That spiritual foundation was immediately tested in their first year of marriage. Justin began facing serious health challenges that were later diagnosed as Lyme disease, thrusting the newlyweds into crisis early on.
"We went straight into figuring out the hard stuff," Hailey shared.
Through intense public scrutiny, health battles, and the pressures of global fame, Hailey says their shared faith has been the stabilizing force. Rather than centering their marriage on celebrity status or social expectations, the couple has intentionally built their relationship around prayer, church involvement, and spiritual unity.
In an industry often defined by short-lived relationships, Hailey's message stands out: for the Biebers, love is sustained not by spotlight, but by surrender.
