Six-time GRAMMY® Award winner and 2022 Kennedy Center Honoree Amy Grant has officially announced her long-awaited new album, The Me That Remains, arriving May 8 via Thirty Tigers. The project marks Grant's first collection of all-original songs in 13 years and signals a deeply personal new chapter in her storied career.
Produced by ten-time CMA Award winner and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer Mac McAnally, the 10-track album leans fully into Grant's strength as a songwriter. With understated production and an intimate, singer-songwriter approach, The Me That Remains reflects on healing, endurance, grace, and connection - themes shaped by more than five decades in music.
The Title Track Out Now
Released today, the album's emotional centerpiece, "The Me That Remains," offers a candid reflection on Grant's recent health challenges, including open heart surgery and a traumatic brain injury sustained in a bicycle accident. Co-written with McAnally, the song stands as a testament to survival, resilience, and gratitude.
The official music video - filmed on Grant's Tennessee farm - is also available now.
The album was first previewed with "The 6th of January (Yasgur's Farm)," inspired by the unity and perspective of the Woodstock era. Additional highlights include:
-
"How Do We Get There From Here" (feat. Ruby Amanfu), exploring collective healing
-
"The Saint," co-written with longtime collaborator Michael W. Smith
-
"Friend Like You" featuring Vince Gill
-
"The Other Side Of Goodbye" with Sarah Cannon and Corrina Gill
A Work of Memory and Reconstruction
The album artwork visually echoes its themes of reflection and renewal. Grant commissioned mixed-media artist Wayne Brezinka to create a collage assembled from meaningful artifacts - including fragments of a treasured quilt, seashells from her collection, pages from her childhood Bible, and a newspaper article about her grandfather - layering her personal history directly into the portrait.
Now 65, Grant remains one of the most influential figures in American music. With over 2.2 billion global streams and more than 30 million albums sold, she became the first Contemporary Christian artist to earn a platinum record, top the pop charts, and perform on the GRAMMY Awards stage. Her legacy spans church pews, pop radio, and arena tours - and now enters a reflective, deeply rooted new season.
Ryman Auditorium Release Show
To celebrate the album's release, Grant will perform a special album release concert May 8 at the legendary Ryman Auditorium. Tickets go on sale February 27.
