Donnie McClurkin Issues Public Statement Denying Sexual Allegations

Published: Jan 12, 2026 12:11 AM EST

Gospel singer and pastor Donnie McClurkin has publicly addressed sexual abuse allegations made by a former male assistant, firmly denying the claims and stating that he believes "the truth will prevail."

In a video message shared publicly, McClurkin said he has never engaged in sexual abuse, sexual assault, or coercive behavior, describing the allegations as false and deeply hurtful. He acknowledged the seriousness of sexual abuse allegations and emphasized that genuine victims deserve care and justice, while maintaining that the accusations against him do not reflect the truth of his life or ministry.

McClurkin urged the public to allow the legal process to take its course and cautioned against rushing to judgment based on allegations alone. He stated that he remains prayerful, grounded in his faith, and confident that the facts will ultimately come to light.

The statement follows a civil lawsuit filed on January 2, 2026, in New York by former assistant Giuseppe Corletto. The case remains ongoing, and no legal findings have been made.
