Author, literary agent, and respected Christian publishing leader Robert Wolgemuth passed away peacefully early this morning at the age of 77, surrounded by family and sustained by prayer and worship. He is survived by his wife, Bible teacher and ministry leader Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, along with his children, grandchildren, extended family, and a wide community of friends and colleagues.

Known for a lifetime of faithful service to Christ and the Church, Wolgemuth was a significant voice in evangelical publishing for more than four decades. He founded the literary agency Wolgemuth & Associates (now Wolgemuth & Wilson) and served in leadership roles that helped shape modern Christian publishing, including as chairman of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. His work influenced countless authors, pastors, and ministry leaders whose books continue to impact readers around the world.

As a best-selling author, Wolgemuth wrote more than twenty books marked by pastoral wisdom, honesty, and a deep love for Scripture. His writings addressed marriage, fatherhood, perseverance, and finishing life well, earning multiple industry honors and widespread appreciation for their clarity and spiritual depth. Together with his wife, he co-authored You Can Trust God to Write Your Story, reflecting their shared testimony of God's faithfulness through every season of life.

In his final days, family members and close friends kept vigil at his bedside, singing hymns, praying, and worshiping. Though some loved ones were unable to be physically present, children and grandchildren were able to say goodbye through video calls. Those closest to him describe his passing as peaceful and sacred, marked by a deep sense of God's presence and promise.

Robert Wolgemuth is remembered not only for his professional legacy, but for his humility, warmth, devotion to family, and unwavering trust in Christ. His life consistently pointed others toward hope, obedience, and the assurance of eternal life.

Details regarding memorial services will be shared by the family at a later date.
