Angel (NYSE: ANGX), the media and technology company guided by 1.6 million grassroots Angel Guild members championing values-driven stories, has partnered with acclaimed children's television creator Butch Hartman (The Fairly OddParents) and his new indie animation studio to bring families a joyful, values-centered holiday film: The Christmas King! A Garden Cartoon Holiday Movie!, premiering December 11 exclusively on Angel platforms.
When Lenny the Lion and Lucy the Lamb discover the first snowflake of Christmas, they launch into a whimsical race to deliver it to The Christmas King before it melts. If they fail, no one can have a Merry Christmas-but along the snowy journey, they discover that the truest Christmas gift isn't a snowflake at all, but friendship, courage, and kindness. Filled with musical fun, earnest humor, and heartfelt messages, the film offers families a meaningful Christmas story they can enjoy-and talk about-together.
Created, executive produced, and directed by Hartman-who also penned all the original songs-the movie features an impressive voice cast including Matt Lanter (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) as The Christmas King, James Arnold Taylor (The King of Kings, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Cristina M. Medina (The Casagrandes), Brian Stivale (David, Return), and Hillary Phillips (The Big Blue Book). The creative team includes Ramiro Olmos as creative director, Nick Kalmar and Stephen Picher as co-directors, producer Taylor Bradbury, p.g.a., and executive producers Butch and Julieann Hartman. The film is produced by Garden Productions and Butch Hartman Studios.
