Phil Wickham’s Songs of the Saints Makes Major Impact on Christian Music Charts

Platinum-certified, Dove Award-winning contemporary worship artist Phil Wickham celebrates the release of his tenth studio album, Song of the Saints, which has debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart in the U.S., marking his biggest album chart debut since The Ascension (2013). The album also entered the Billboard 200 at No. 42, with placements at No. 10 on Top Album Sales and No. 9 on Top Current Album Sales.
Internationally, Song of the Saints has become Wickham's biggest career chart debut in the U.K., topping the Official Album Downloads chart at No. 19 and reaching No. 2 on the Official Christian & Gospel Albums chart-the second-highest Christian album debut of 2025 in the U.K.
The album features four hit singles:
-
"The King Is in the Room" - Top-10 on Christian Airplay, No. 15 on Billboard Hot Christian Songs
-
"Homesick For Heaven" - No. 12 on Digital Song Sales, No. 14 on Hot Christian Songs
-
"So So Good" - No. 8 on Hot Christian Songs
-
"What an Awesome God" - a reimagining of Rich Mullins' 1988 classic, Wickham's highest-charting single to date: No. 2 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100, No. 3 on Hot Christian Songs, and leading both Christian Airplay and Christian AC charts
Additional tracks "Able" (No. 36) and "Running to a Runaway" (No. 45) have also charted on Hot Christian Songs.
Song of the Saints has been lauded by JubileeCast, which called the album "widescreen cinema-sweeping, luminous, and impossible to ignore." The 16-track collection blends soaring melodies with lyrics that wear their theology proudly, balancing grandeur with reflection. Highlights include the anthem-like title track co-written with Steven Furtick, intimate moments like "Flowers" and "Homesick for Heaven," and cinematic worship moments such as "What an Awesome God" and "So, So Good." JubileeCast notes that the album succeeds in being both a cinematic worship experience and a deeply personal collection of songs, reaffirming Wickham's place at the forefront of modern worship music.
"Song of the Saints represents my vision for worship music that is both personal and communal, intimate and cinematic," said Wickham. "I hope these songs inspire believers everywhere to lift their hearts to God, in both private devotion and congregational praise."
Song of the Saints is now available worldwide, continuing Phil Wickham's legacy as one of contemporary worship's most influential voices.
