Jonathan Wilburn is Currently Working on A New Album
Jonathan Wilburn, one half of Wilburn and Wilburn, is currently working on a new album for Daywind Records. Produced by Ben Issacs, the yet-to-be-titled album is scheduled to release early Summer 2022.
Wilburn reveals, "It is a whole album of songs that many of us grew up on. I remember my mom, dad, and grandparents singing these songs as they came across the airwaves on WSM from the Grand Ole Opry. Songs like "One The Wings Of A Dove", "Satisfied", "House Of Gold", "Precious Lord Take My Hand", and one of my personal favorites so far "Crying in The Chapel". I look forward to singing these songs that have such a special place in the hearts of many!!"
A new addition to Wilburn's touring ensemble is pianist James Rainey. Wilburn continues, "I'm so blessed to have Mr. James Rainey with me on most of my dates in 2022. James has taken the stage with such great groups as The Hoppers, The Greenes, The Singing Americans, The Blackwoods, The Stamps, and Rusty Goodman. To say I'm blessed to have this great talent is an understatement! With James I'm able to sing more songs "Off The Cuff" and make some moments with just the piano and I. It's so enjoyable to have him playing along side of me."
Wilburn will also be performing at the 2023 Singing at Sea Cruise. The Singing at Sea should be called The Revival At Sea. Over 25 of the nations top groups and preachers, no bars or casinos, kids go free, A GOLD CITY REUNION, plus it's all Christian-oriented. The reason is that Templeton Tours leases the whole ship.
