Singer / Songwriter Sara Groves is set to release her new Christmas album titled Joy of Every Longing Heart. Released via Fair Trade Services, the album will be available on November 1st. The record was produced by John Mark Nelson with Aaron Fabbrini, Zach Miller & Tyler Burkum.
Groves reveals that the title of the new record came as a suggestion from a Patreon supporter, Allison Rich, and is the last line of the song "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus." She writes: "I think the words joy and longing together portray a true human reality about Christmas, and even more broadly, a life of faith. There is in this one story so much joy, loneliness, fear, provision - the miraculous and the mundane. There is always more to say about it, and I hope you enjoy this retelling."
For the album, Groves reaches back to warm, childhood memories of baking Christmas goodies and spending time with loved ones. This project is sprinkled with original songs written for the Christmas season.
- Winter Wonderland
- O Come, O Come Emmanuel
- Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
- We Wait
- Just Like They Said
- Let Our Gladness Have No End
- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
- Angels From The Realms of Glory
