DRAUCKER Makes Sibling Rivalry Rock with Debut EP
The Savannah, Georgia-based rock group DRAUCKER has released their national debut EP, Good To Talk To (SweetBred Records). For the past few years, the group has been winning over a dedicated fanbase throughout the south with an aggressive concert schedule and opening spots for Drivin' N Cryin', American Idol's Cade Foehner and more.
Siblings Nick Draucker (lead guitar/vocals), Sarah Draucker (lead vocals) and Chris Draucker (guitar/vocals) grew up in a musical household. With deep roots in Christian rock and contemporary music, the trio started performing as teens - leading worship and taking concert gigs wherever they could. In 2017, Chris took a worship leader position and Nick and Sarah followed him. The siblings quickly came to know two other members of the worship team - Joseph Pilz (bass) and Tyler Weibel (drums/percussion) - and soon after, the aptly named DRAUCKER began making a name for themselves throughout the south and beyond.
Good To Talk To (SweetBred Records) was produced by Jonathan Crone at The Sound Kitchen (Franklin, TN) and The Noise Floor (Brentwood, TN), and mastered by Brad Blackwood at Euphonic Masters (Memphis, TN). All of the songs on the EP were tested before live crowds, with the most popular originals making the final cut.
"Maybe the tension of being siblings makes the outcome of our product more authentic and real," says Nick on the family dynamics at play within DRAUCKER. "We absolutely have to be on the same page about things," adds Chris. "I think that's why the music comes together the way it does. We are family, so things can get explosive. We all have our different opinions and preferences, but when we combine them, we get this gritty, distorted sound and it feels like the kind of rock and roll that I want to hear."
At the end of the day, DRAUCKER has always been, and will always be, about family. Says Sarah, "We have always been together. Whether we are at a show or just hanging out. That's what makes the DRAUCKER experience unique."
