Hillary Scott & the Family Rule the Christian Albums and Singles Charts with "Love Remains" & "Thy Will" Respectively

Hillary Scott & The Scott Family's debut Christian album Love Remains debuts at #1 on Billboard Christian Albums Chart this week. Moving at least 28,000 units, the album manage to also land at # 2 on Top Country Albums, while entering the Billboard 200 at No. 7. Meanwhile, Love Remains' lead single, "Thy Will," tops Hot Christian Songs for a third week and ascends to a new high (33-28) on Hot Country Songs.
LOVE REMAINS, a 13-track collection of faith-based songs, is a combination of hymns Hillary grew up singing in church, newly-written originals and songs made popular by other artists. With the help of producer Ricky Skaggs, the forthcoming album blurs the lines between gospel, bluegrass, country and pop. At the center of the mix are the rich, entwined voices of the Scotts, who take turns harmonizing and singing lead.
The idea for the album came at the time of her grandfather's passing. The original plan was to record a five-song "thank you" to all the family and friends who offered support during her grandfather's battle with cancer, which came to an end in November 2011. But the project grew into a full-length album.
"We got to grieve and heal with the things we've been through as a family," she explained. "With our schedule - with me being a part of Lady Antebellum - and just how busy we've been for the past 10 years, there are so many moments I missed because I was out of town. It was just great to make up for lost time."
These are songs that find the redemption in struggle, the peace in death, the joy in bonding with family members whenever times are tough. The stories behind the songs are personal, it's music with a message and Hillary has rarely sounded more at home. LOVE REMAINS follows more than 11 million album sales worldwide for Hillary Scott as one-third of the one of the world's most popular groups, Lady Antebellum. The trio has earned six PLATINUM singles and dubbed ACM and CMA "Vocal Group of the Year" three years in a row.
