American Idol's Schyler Dixon Releases Single "I'm Changed"
Fans of "American Idol" would be excited to know the show's alum Schyler Dixon has released her new single "I'm Changed." At the show's Season 11, Dixon attended the Nashville auditions for American Idol and won over then judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. After making it to the Hollywood round in Season 10 and placing in the Top 40 in Season 11, Dixon had earned herself a loyal fan-base that has continued to grow since her time on the show. Following her appearance on Idol, she was invited to join Third Day and brother Colton Dixon on the band's successful Miracle Tour.
Since her time on Idol, she has experienced and dealt with set-backs and situations that she has used as an inspiration for her music. With her first single "I'm Changed", which she co-wrote with fellow Idol alum Jeremy Rosado (who also performs on the track), she explains that it is meant to be a song that represents redemption, and how faith produces change in our lives. It's a reminder that no matter your mistakes, your age, or background, through Christ and His sacrifice you can be changed. "He died for ALL our sins and for all that confess and believe", Schyler explains "This song speaks about surrendering to Christ and how He is there for us with forgiveness, comfort and healing".
Like her older brother Colton, Schyler has a true passion to help give hope and encouragement to her generation through her music knowing how hard it is growing up in today's world, and that walking the walk can at times be lonely and difficult. Schyler's prayer is that as you listen to her music you know who she is and the impact God has had in her life and can have in yours.
"I'm Changed" (Feat. Jeremy Rosado) is available now and can be purchased on iTunes at http://apple.co/1Hrgerq. Currently, Dixon is hard at work writing music for her upcoming EP projected to release late 2015/early 2016.
