Moto 360 Watch Release Date, Price, Specs, Features And Rumors: The Moto 360 Smartwatch To Be Launched Alongside The Moto X+1 As Specifications Leaked
We have the latest info for you on the release date, price, specs, features and rumors of the Moto 360. Motorola is set on releasing the Moto 360 smartwatch this holiday season. The Moto 360 is expected to compete with the LG G watch and the Samsung Gear 2. Motorola has not yet confirmed the specific release date of the smartwatch but it is speculated that it will be released sometime before the holiday. More to this, some information has been leaked about specifications, features and price of the soon-to-be released Moto 360.
If Motorola wants to compete in the wearable device market, it is believed that the Moto 360 will be released at around the same time as Apple's iWatch. Motorola has decided to be unique this time with its design which is totally different from that of LG and Samsung. It will be the first Smartwatch to have a round face. The Moto 360 will feature an OLED display to conserve the battery life. The watch is orientation-free which means that it can be worn on either wrist. The screensaver will display the time like any other watch when not in use.
Motorola will use a sapphire glass instead of the standard Gorilla glass. The sapphire glass is said to be four times stronger than the standard one. Unlike the Samsung devices which can only be used with other Samsung devices, the Moto 360 will be exclusive of Motorola devices. It will also be compatible with any device running on Android 4.4.3 or higher including the new Android L. The Motorola smartwatch will not come with a USB charging port rather Google has innovated a magnetically wireless way to charge the device.
Taking all these features in consideration, a smartwatch like the Moto 360 will go for around $350 but Motorola has given a hint that the smartwatch will not go beyond $250. This is quite cheap having all the features of the watch in mind. In February, Motorola confirmed that the new smartwatch would be released along the new Moto X+1. Rumors say that the Moto 360 will either have a plastic or a metal body, will be 13.5mm thick and have a 1.88-inch screen. We only need to be a little more patient until Motorola releases its new smartwatch and we can finally have our hands on it.
