The Story Behind All Sons and Daughters' "Paris"

Folk/pop worship duo All Sons and Daughters are currently recording their new album. They have decided to record the new record in Europe. In late June of this year, they traveled through Ireland, England, France and Italy.
While they were in Paris, France on September the 10th, the couple and their producer Paul Mabury wrote a song entitled "Paris." They write: "We tried to bring a song to life about a city we had recently visited and fallen in love with. Paris is the city of art. The city of love. A city with a rich history of both light and dark. This is what we wrote:
Paris
You are my refuge
You are my hope
Constant and safe
My home
You are my shelter
I will not fear
Even in darkness
You're here"
Not long after the song was written, on the evening of 13 November 2015, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks occurred in Paris. Beginning at 21:20 CET, three suicide bombers struck near the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, followed by suicide bombings and mass shootings at cafés, restaurants, and a concert hall in Paris.
The attackers killed 130 people, including 89 at the Bataclan theatre, where they took hostages before engaging in a stand-off with police. There were 368 people who were wounded, 80-99 seriously so. Seven of the attackers also died, while authorities continued to search for accomplices. The attacks were the deadliest on France since World War II, and the deadliest in the European Union since the Madrid train bombings in 2004.
In the light of the Paris tragedy, All Sons and Daughter felt that the song was prophetic of what had just happened. They write: "As we began the production of this record & pulled up our songwriting session from that day in September, we were overwhelmed by the prophetic & timely nature of this song. So we wanted to give it away as a prayer."
A prayer for those who are in mourning.
A prayer for those still in fear.
A prayer for strength and courage.
A prayer for those seeking refuge.
This is Paris.
