Magic in the Moonlight movie DVD release date, Reveals, News, Updates and Plot: DVD Release to be Mid December 2014

There have been a host of really good movies about magic from The Prestige to Now You See Me, the romance and intrigue of magic has come to the silver screen time and time again. Magic in the Moonlight is barely a love story that involves magic. The movie is written and directed by the great Woody Allen and Produced by Perdido Productions. Woody is without a doubt the father of the modern romantic movie. He has directed and starred in a number of romance movies like Paris Manhattan, Deconstructing Harry and the classic What's New Pussycat that was released in 1965.

The movie begins with an illusionist whom the world has been led to believe is from the east but turns out to be a British man named Stanley. His friend Howard enlists him in a trip to Cote d'Azur where a rich American family is holiday-ing with a mystic and clairvoyant Sophie. One of the boys in the family, Brice, is in fact in love with Sophie and plans to marry her. Howard would like Stanley to help him debunk Sophie as he is unable to tell what tricks she is employing. Stanley however, is unable to find the tricks either and believes she is real thing. Stanley continually spends time with Sophie and in the process Sophie falls in love with him, when she asks him if he likes her like a woman he says he doesn't which angers her. After a series of unfortunate events Stanley finds out that she is a fake and was in fact in cahoots with Howard and that he is in love with Sophie.

The plot I well developed and the scenes are shot with a lot of love and with that Woody Allen touch. There is a scene with a scenic drive in a convertible that ends in a rainstorm and star gazing; super romantic. The movie was released in August of 2014 and has made slightly south of 20 million dollars at the box office so far. It is expected on DVD release in mid December 2014.
