After its launch last September, Nokia Lumia 830 got a lot of positive reviews. Compared to its predecessor, Lumia 820, the newly released Nokia flagship smartphone possess improved specs. PCadvisor cited that the phone boosts with better camera, faster processing capability, bigger screen and design, new software and larger memory capacity.

On the other hand, no matter how improved Nokia Lumia 830 is, the company cannot remain confident because the smartphone market is a tough world. There are so many handsets that rival the newest Nokia phone. One of which is the equally tech-forward and aesthetically attractive HTC Desire 820.

To give you a sneak peek on this rivalry, here is the comparison of the details that you need to know before choosing your new smartphone.

Kpopstarz said that the two phones differ in terms of design. Nokia's bet has semi-rounded corners, glossy back, and metal side details while HTC's very own is a glossy rectangular plastic-paneled phone with slightly round edges. Desire 820 has the bigger screen, 5.5-inch with 720 x 1280 resolution, compared to Lumia 830's 5-inch screen with the same pixels.

HTC Desire 820 is also equipped with the better HD rear camera with 13MP, auto focus, and LED flash compared to Nokia Lumia's 830 back snapper with 10MP, optical image stabilization, LED flash and autofocus.

In terms of its inner ware, International Business Times cited that the Desire 820 has the better processor which is the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 64-bit processor while Lumia 830 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor. HTC's handset also has a bigger RAM at 2GB while Nokia's flagship has 1GB RAM.

On the other hand, both phones have the similar 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB through its micro SD slot. They are also different in terms of operating systems; Lumia has Windows Phone 8.1 while Desire has Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.

Nokia Lumia 830 and HTC Desire 820 has a close gap in terms of battery as HTC has Li-Po 2600 mAh battery while Nokia is powered by Li-ion 2200 mAh battery. Additional features of Lumia 830 include NFC support, free 1 TB cloud storage option in One Drive and the 'Lumia Denim' update for Windows Phone 8.1. On the other hand, Desire 820's add-ons include HTC BoomSound support, BlinkFeed news and 'vertical app drawer'.

In terms of price, HTC Desire 820 is cheaper at $417 compared to Nokia Lumia 830 which will need $469 from your pocket.
