Real Housewives of Atlanta News and Reveals: Cast Member Kenya Moore to be Showcased Donating to Detroit Public School Foundation as Phaedra Parks Finalizes Divorce

 As per the latest rumors from Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore shared some updates about her pledge to the Detroit Public School Foundation. Apparently, the Detroit born, former Miss USA is going to be appearing on the upcoming October 17th showing of the RHOA and donating the amount to the said institution. "A lot of these kids now, because this city is bankrupt, they are just not getting the opportunities. How do you expect them to excel when they can't get a book they need for class, let alone a computer?" Kenya said. She says Detroit is clearly in dire straits and wishes she could give more. Apparently 20,000 which is the amount she is giving is giving, will not solve the situation, but it is going to help.

In other news, star Phaedra Parks is currently in the works legally cut ties from her husband Apollo Nida following his sentencing of eight years in prison for bank fraud. Her representative, Steve Honig told the New York Daily News, "Phaedra has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage."  Husband Apollo Nida is currently serving his sentence which was issued sometime in July following the guilty plea in May. Apparently Phaedra claims she is acting in the best interest of her children who she believes need a strong and stable male figure in their lives. For Nida, this will be the second long term prison stay as he was previously incarcerated for a period of 6 years for car theft. The couple had two children in the duration of their marriage, Dylan and Ayden.

During an interview with Atlanta's B100 radio station, Nida admitted that he had in fact seen the divorce coming and mentioned his wife was absent during his trials. It was just a matter of time before the papers came. Apparently when she did not even show up for the sentencing, which was enough to show how bad things were between the two of them.
