Back in the US soil, Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) is very anxious caused by Sandy's death scene. He wants to quit the CIA, but protocols require him to undergo an exit interview, which is ironically a psychological interview.

The interview was a disaster, Quinn ends up walking out of the door when the interrogator asked him if he is in love with Carrie.

While spending his days as a wasted man ready to punch anyone in the balls, Peter is indulging himself watching YouTube videos of Sandy's last moments on earth, being beaten to death in the middle of the streets. Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) visited Peter, checking what he was up to and suggests that he might have feelings for Carrie, ehich might have affected his decision to not save Sandy's life. Naturally, Quinn got mad and charged the old guy and put him in a sleeper hold. Ouch!

Carrie's team plan failed causing her to go sol and pretend to be a sick woman in order to capture the kid's attention. They had a very meaningful conversation, leading Carrie to believe that the kid is way more than a valuable asset for the team, he could be the key.

Meanwhile, Quinn made a major breakthrough when upon browsing into Sandy's death incident videos, he spotted a guy wearing a military grade earpiece, suggesting that he could have coordinated the whole act. Clearly, there were more than meets the eye with the mob incident. It has been planned and Carrie and Quinn did not have any chance to save the former station chief, Sandy Bachman.

Quinn shared the infomartion to Carrie, which forces her to go back to Pakistan once in for all, to help find out the real deal behind Sandy's death.
