Iron Man 4: Robert Downey Jr. Has Discreetly Confirmed that there Will be an Iron Man 4

Despite Robert Downey Jr.’s persistent abjuration of an upcoming fourth installment to his broadly up-and-coming “Iron Man” franchise, the actor lastly disclosed that there will undeniably be an “Iron Man 4”.

Robert Downey Jr. has discreetly confirmed that there will be an “Iron Man 4”. Downey Jr. was interviewed by Ellen in “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and they were discoursing about “The Judge”, Downey Jr.’s new movie. The host queried him at nowhere if there would be a fourth “Iron Man” movie with him returning to the big screen.

Downey Jr. answered that Marvel is planning a whole lot of movies. “We’re in the middle of negotiation,” he said. Ellen sort of rolled her eyes. “Okay, yes,” Downey Jr. said. Ellen managed to lure out the answer from Downey Jr. And at present, “Iron Man” fans are hoping for to see its fourth installment to hit the cinemas in the future.

Rumors also say that there might be a different director to pilot the fourth installment of the franchise.

In a report in Daily News last October 3, Robert says that he will come back for “Iron Man 4” if his close friend Mel Gibson directs.

Downey gave a recent statement to Gibson in Deadline, “Nobody should make a case for somebody who just wants forgiveness but hasn’t changed, but he’s a fundamentally different guy. I think it was just the very worst aspects of somebody’s psyche being treated as though they were the blanket statement about a person.”

If it is right and Downey would commit to “Iron Man” with Gibson as the director, then Disney and Marvel would have a difficult time turning down the deal. According to Box Office Mojo, the three “Iron Man” films have made a total of over $2.4 billion globally.

However, this entails that “Iron Man 4” is still on regardless of who is sitting in the director’s chair.

Regrettably, there is no official announcement about the film. It is also uncertain that Marvel will broadcast anything official until after the premiere of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”.

Fans are anticipating the return of Downey Jr. as the superhero in the upcoming installment of Marvel’s Avengers series, entitled “The Avengers: Age of Ultron”, which will hit theaters and cinemas in 2015.
