Pitch Perfect 2, Release Date: Continuation of the Sequence, an American Harmonious Comedy Movie
“Pitch Perfect 2” is an upcoming American harmonious comedy movie, which was lightly adapted from the non-fiction book entitled “Pitch Perfect: The Quest for collegiate A Cappella Glory” by Mickey Rapkin. It serves as the second installment as well as the sequel to the 2012 film “Pitch Perfect”.
The members of “Pitch Perfect 2” cast star 2010 Academy Awards Nominee Anna Kendrick as Beca Mitchell, 2013 Teen Choice Award Winner Skylar Astin as Jesse Swanson, 2013 MTV Movie Award Winner Anna Camp as Aubrey Posen, 2011 Boston Film Festival Prize Winner Brittany Snow as Chloe Beale, 2013 Critics Choice Award Nominee Rebel Wilson as Patricia “Fat Amy”, and 2013 Teen Choice Award Winner Adam DeVine as Bumper Allen.
In Imdb.com, it has been rumored that Freddie Stroma from “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” will be part of the film as Luke. Also, John Michael Higgins from the TV Series “The Legend of Korra” will be playing John Smith. However, no information was mentioned regarding their roles in the lives of the a cappella group.
Other members of the cast include Ester Dean as Cynthia Rose Adams, Alexis Knapp as Stacie Conrad, Hana Mae Lee as Lilly Okanakamura, Ben Platt as Benji Applebaum, Kelly Jakle as Jessica, Shelley Regner as Ashley, and Wanetah Walmsley as Denise, just to name a few.
The film is set to be directed by Elizabeth Banks and written by Kay Cannon and Mickey Rapkin, with Paul Brooks Max Handelman, and Jeff Levine as co-producers. Yahoo Movies website also reveals that the highly-anticipated film is Bank’s first movie to pilot.
There is no known official announcement of the movie plot yet. However, a report in movienewz.com revealed that the first installment of the film centered on a first year student named Kendrick who hesitantly joins a college a cappella organization called the Bellas and leads it to the finals in the long run. “Pitch Perfect 2” could be a continuation of this sequence.
The filming began last May 21, 2014 at the Louisiana State University campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. To be distributed by Universal Pictures, the much-anticipated “Pitch Perfect 2” is set to be released and premiere on theaters and cinemas on May 15, 2015.
