The Wedding Ringer: Another Hilarious Romantic-Comedy Film Played By Comedy Actor Kevin Hart
The Wedding Ringer was originally meant to be titled as The Golden Tux which is a forthcoming action romantic-comedy film played by comedy actor Kevin Hart, Josh Gad and Big Bang's Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting which is directed and co-written by Jeremy Garelick. The movie is produced by Adam Fields and Will Packer, who has worked with Kevin Hart before in Think Like A Man, About Last Night and Ride Along.
Kevin Hart will portray the character of Jimmy Callahan, who is the CEO and owner of Best Man, Inc., a company that provides chivalrous best men for socially challenged guys in need. Doug Harris will be played by Josh Gad, who is an adorable but socially cloddish soon to be groom with a problem. The big problem is that he has no best man for the wedding. Doug results in fabricating the names of other groomsmen and when everything fails, he then refers to Jimmy and seeks his help to resolve his problems with only less than two weeks before the wedding to the woman of his dreams who is played by Kaley Cuoco. It then turns out into a funny and amusing wedding charade as both Doug and Jimmy try to bring off the big hoax and the fortuitous surprising bromance between the groom-to-be (Doug) and the fake best man (Jimmy).
The movie was initially meant to be filmed in Chicago, but when the producers won a 2.8 million dollar tax credit, the film was rewritten for Los Angeles and filming took place in Marina del Rey and Santa Monica which only took 38 days to shoot the film in the fall of 2013. Last June 19, 2014, the Sony Pictures Entertainment released the first official trailer for The Wedding Ringer. The film is full of comedic acts and wits that highlight the bests from its distinct casts. It is an interesting movie because of its diverse casts which makes it worth watching for.
The Wedding Ringer is set to be released in movie theaters on January 16, 2015 which will be distributed by Screen Gems under Miramax Films productions.
