Straight Outta Compton Cast: The Rise And Fall Of The Legendary Gangster Rap Group N.W.A.
In August 2015, the Straight Outta Compton is set to be released. Corey Hawkins, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell, Aldis Hodge, Paul Giamatti and Neil Brown Jr. are the main stars of this upcoming Universal's N.W.A. biopic drama. This is directed by F. Gary Gray and is produced by original N.W.A. members Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. They were joined fellow producers Tomica Woods-Wright and Matt Alvarez. Andrea Berloff was responsible for writing the script that portrays the rise and fall of the legendary "gangsta rap" group N.W.A. This West Coast group has members that include Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, DJ Yella, MC Ren and Ice Cube.
The Movie Cast
O'Shea Jackson Jr, is the son of Ice Cube will be playing his father in this film. Also, Jackson is also a hopeful rapper who performs under the celebrity name OMG. Since the movie announcement, Ice Cube had been openly lobbying for his son to get the part saying in January "I've been trying to get that pushed along. Just wanna make sure that he's the best man for the job."
While the late Easy-E's son, Lil Easy-E had also liked to play his father. The role eventually went to Jason Mitchell, he is a newcomer. Mitchell is a New Orleans-based celebrity who amazed the movie producers during his screen test. His former credits include little parts in Contraband together with Mark Wahlberg and the indie Broken City. On the other hand, Corey Hawkins already appeared in movies like Iron Man 3 and Non Stop will be starring as Dr Dre. Both the roles of DJ Yella and MC Ren have not yet been cast.
The Straight Outta Compton Plot
During the mid-1980's, the streets of Compton, California, were actually some of the most risky in the entire country. When five young men, leaded by Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Easy-E, they decoded their experiences growing up in the vicious real music that rebelled abusive authority, they gave a volatile voice to a quiet generation. The movie will follow the rise and fall of the N.W.A. and tells the beyond belief story of how these youngsters in revolutionizing music and pop culture eternally. This group sent a message to the world about the true life in the hood which sparked a cultural battle.
