Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales Movie Release Date, Reveals, Reviews and Updates: Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg to Direct
Pirates of the Caribbean is the second highest grossing franchise for Disney after Mickey Mouse and Friends. The movie that was initially based on the Disney ride which is now based on the movie has grossed a total of 3.4 billion dollars for all four films. With numbers like that it's no wonder Disney is not looking to kill off everybody's favorite pirate yet. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is set to be released on July 7th of 2017, six years after the fourth installment. According to Travel Daily Media, Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, a pair of Norwegian directors have been handed the project.
The fifth movie is said to be the final installment and rumor has it that it shall be a standalone movie. The plot of the story is still a well guarded secret but we can say with certainty that Jack Sparrow and Barbosa shall be coming back. There are also rumblings that Bloom may make a comeback as he is now the captain of The Flying Dutchman. Keeping with past themes of bringing maritime legends to life and making them seem larger than life we should expect a Pirate or some mythical creature from the past. Maybe we will get to see Poseidon in action. Whatever they choose to go with, Disney want to make sure that the fifth installment is the one that they will be remembered for. The fourth movie was not as well written as t he previous three with a number of loopholes it was clearly a poor attempt to bring the band back. However this time Depp has been reported as saying that this time 'Everyone involved wants the script to be right and perfect'.
The movie is being shot in Australia with Johnny Depp arriving in late September 2014 to begin shooting. The Australian government repurposed 20 million dollars in tax incentives that was meant for a 20,000 leagues under the sea remake. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is one of the biggest movies to shoot in the country.
