iOS 8 Bugs Roundup: Why Downgrading is a Good Decision

Almost, if not all Apple users who downloaded iOS 8 and upgraded their devices have suffered to numerous bugs. The problem is that these cannot be easily fixed so that a need to downgrade back to iOS 7.1.2 may be the best path to take. Here are among the most popular problems that users have encountered:

The Blue Screen of Death, which was originally only a Windows platform bug can now be widely experienced in iOS devices. A lot of iOS 8 users have taken to Twitter to voice their displeasure. Users reported that their devices were encountering random reboots where a blue screen pops out of nowhere. Of all the iOS devices, the iPad are among the most prominent to suffer with this bug.

Another problem that users are complaining about is that devices are auto-rebooting into recovery mode after updating to iOS 8. A lot of the users who have encountered this problem did a full restore via iTunes to exit this loop. The problem is that not all who encountered this problem have access to iTunes. As a result, most of them cannot use their devices to full functionality.

Users are also aghast to discover that the file upload feature seems to be broken in Safari. This becomes a great problem for people who are avid users of social networking such as twitter and Facebook.

Probably the biggest concern that keeps troubling iOS 8 users is the bug found in the HealthKit framework. This bug works by simply breaking all HealthKit compatible apps. The seriousness of this problem has prompted Apple to withdraw all HealthKit compatible apps from the final public release of iOS 8 until such time that an update will be available.

As a result, so many iOS device users felt that what they got is a mere shadow of what the company has promised them during the time that Apple was still promoting the iOS 8.

Make no mistake about it. These bugs are simply a few o what users are experiencing. On top of that, they are not easy to solve. That is why IBTimes UK is advocating that users downgrade back to iOS 7.1.2 while waiting for Apple to release the update that would basically fix these bugs. This is to allow them to make use of their devices to full potential in the meantime.
