Percy Jackson 3 Movie, "The Titan's Curse": To Release or Not To Release? Logan Lerman Says, "I Don't Know"
The fans of the "Percy Jackson" movies are waiting for the third film adaptation of The New York Times No. 1 Children's best-seller series, but there is no news confirming the movie's release. Logan Lerman, who plays the main role in the movie, has already mentioned in several articles that Percy Jackson 3 will not be coming out. Given the uncertainty implied in his interview responses, and given that the official confirmation is still missing, the fans can expect the Percy Jackson 3 to soon release its confirmation, and the movie to come out by 2016. On the other hand, should it?
In an MTV News interview, Logan Lerman, with a tone of certainty, mentioned that the 3rd movie is not happening, and yet, in The Independent interview a week later, he stated "I said I don't know".
It is also important to note that Logan Lerman said he is under contract for three movies, and if the movie production is to make a 3rd Percy Jackson film, he is contractually obliged to it.
What we do know for now is that the third part of the novel/film series is called "The Titan's Curse", and this time, Percy, a demigod, and his friends from the demigod training ground - Camp Half-Blood - are set out for another journey, as to search and rescue Annabeth Chase (Percy's friend) and Artemis (Greek goddess) after the two had been kidnapped.
Also, based on the novel's film history, the third movie is likely to be out in 2016. The first movie of Percy Jackson was released in 2010, and the second one followed in 2013. If the 3rd installment follows this trend, Percy Jackson: The Titan's Curse's release should be confirmed pretty soon and the movie should be out by 2016.
Yet, given the negative reviews on the previous two Percy Jackson movies, Logan Lerman may be right. Rottentomatoes.Com rated the first movie 49% and the second one 41%. It might be wise to not put out a Percy Jackson 3 movie.
