The Big Bang Theory season 8 Spoilers and News: New Haircut and career for Penny

The Big Bang Theory Season 8 premiere has some a lot of changes for the nerdy and fabulous bunch. The first episode of Season 8 is titled "The Locomotion Interruption" and will bring Amy and Leonard on an unexpected road trip to recover Sheldon in Arizona who ran away at the season 7 finale. According to Moviepilot the season 8 premiere episode takes place 45 days after the finale of season 7.

CBS has released some promotional stills from the upcoming premiere of season 8, and it looks like Penny, who's played by Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, has a new hairstyle and a new career choice. Penny might finally realize that her acting career is taking her nowhere, and that applying at Bernadette's company as a pharmaceutical rep might just solve her financial woes. Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting is looking rather sophisticated with the shorter hair, and I'm willing to bet everyone else thinks that it is a really good look for her as Penny, who might finally turn her money problems away.

Here's also a synopsis released by CBS for the Season 8 premiere.

"Leonard and Amy take an unexpected road trip to Arizona to pick up Sheldon. Meanwhile, Penny interviews for a job at Bernadette's company, and Howard is weirded out by Stuart's relationship with Mrs. Wolowitz."

Episode 2 of Season 8 is titled "The Junior Professor Solution," and CBS also released the official synopsis as well.

"When Sheldon is forced to teach a class, Howard surprises everyone by taking it. Meanwhile, the tension between Penny and Bernadette gives Amy a chance to play both sides."

Tension between Penny and Bernadette? Will Penny be an annoyance to Bernadette in the workplace, or is there somewhat a competition between them? Either way, it seems like it will be a fun episode for Amy. Sheldon being forced to teach a class might mean that after returning home from Arizona, this might be a way for him to get back to the way things were, but at the same time trying to cope with all the changes that has happened around him. If that's the case, it seems like Howard's going to make it really difficult for Sheldon. It might also mean that he wants to better himself, being insulted every time because he's the only one in the group (excluding Penny, of course) not to have a PhD.

The Big Bang Theory Season 8 premieres with back-to-back episodes on September 22, Monday on CBS and will return to Thursdays on October 29.
