Downton Abbey Season 5 Spoilers: Trailer is Out, Fire and More Drama
"I feel a shaking with the ground I stand on," says Downton Abbey's butler Charles Carson.
With the trailer being officially out, fans can have a brighter idea of the things to come up in Downton Abbey's upcoming season 5. Mr. Carson's opening line could actually mean in literal form or metaphorically, but we will have to wait for some more days to fully understand what he actually means when season 5 drops.
In the trailer, we see a fire, then a man carrying a woman as they escape from it. And we start to wonder what could have caused or who could have caused that fire. We also see some caught in the act steamy romance with Jimmy Kent (Ed Speelers). And Tom Branson seen sharing a kiss with an unknown woman. It also appears that beloved Lady Mary Crawley will get a new love interest.
There's also Richard E. Grant as Simon Bricker, an art historian and the guest to the Grantham family in Downton Abbey. He will be seen in some episodes, but what could he bring to the people in Downton Abbey? He says in the trailer, "I think everything about Downton is beautiful." That is something we should look out for when the season starts.
Of course, we couldn't miss heavy one liners from Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith) when she says, "If you have something to say, say it!" And on a last note, we see Mrs. Hughes talking to Mr. Carson saying,"Downton is catching up with the times we live in." In which Mr. Carson responds, "That, is exactly what I am afraid of."
Downton Abbey Season 5 drops in the UK this Sept. 21 on ITV.
