Colton Dixon Releases a New Video
Season 11 American Idol alum, Colton Dixon, may have been voted off in the before reaching the Top 5, but we had already fallen for the the young singer with the incredible talent who had never tried to tone down his faith (despite being warned by producers that it could cost him), so a career in Christian music was already in the works. "Never Gone," the first single from his debut Sparrow Records album, A Messenger, peaked at #1. "You Are" quickly followed suit at radio and then went a step farther, getting a Dove nod for Rock / Contemporary Song of the Year. The nomination is one of three that Dixon garnered in the 2013 Doves. A Messenger is up for Rock / Contemporary Album of the Year and Colton is in the running for New Artist of the Year.
The 21-year-old will be hitting the road on November 7th with tobyMac, Brandon Heath, Capital Kings, Chris August, Jamie Grace and Mandisa for the "Hits Deep" tour, which will run through December 15th.
