Book Movies Dominate Big Screen Releases This Fall
This summer has been crowded with big-budget, blockbuster franchises; there's Transformers 4, Captain America, Guardians of the Galaxy and a whole lot more. If you are tired of all these action, explosions and big spectacles, well this fall it's the season for some serious, mysterious, horror, character and plot driven stories with best-seller books dominating the big screen releases.
It is definitely great news for fans of the books and to the writers as well, as big studios are turning their attention and appreciation to literature as movie materials. And to top that, studios are highly banking on books turned movies as the awards season kicks in later this year.
Moviegoers, mark your calendars this September and October as cinemas will bring you best-seller books to the big screen.
Just some of the book movies hitting your cinemas are The Drop starring Tom Hardy by author Dennis Lehane (Sept. 12), The Maze Runner starring Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario by author James Dashner (Sept. 19), A Walk Among the Tombstones starring Liam Neeson by Lawrence Block (Sept. 19), This is Where I Leave You starring Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Adam Driver by author Jonathan Tropper (Sept. 19), The Boxtrolls starring Ben Kingsley, Elle Fanning by author Alan Snow (Sept. 26), Gone Girl starring Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike by author Gillian Flynn (Oct. 3), Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day stars Jennifer Garner, Steve Carell by author Judith Viorst (Oct. 10), Addicted stars Sharon Leal, William Levy by author Zane (Oct. 10), Kill the Messenger stars Jeremy Renner, Michael Sheen by author Gary Webb and Nick Schou (Oct. 10), Best of Me stars James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan by author Nicholas Sparks (Oct. 17), Before I Go to Sleep stars Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth, Mark Strong by author S.J.
