The Legend of Korra Book 4 Release date, News, Rumors, and Updates: Who Exactly is Kuvira?
As of now we are still all clueless as to when Book 4 of the Legend of Korra will premiere, and fans have been speculating on what book 4 will actually be about.
Recently, there has been a television promo for book 3 that features glimpses of Book 4, and everyone's attention is on the appearance of Kuvira, a metal bender of Suyin's who was introduced on the Season finale of Book 3. As you can see on the trailer below, she looks to be up to something undesirable as people behind her seems to be tied up or are in handcuffs. You can see her at 0:05.
It has been theorized by fans that she might be in fact the villain or one of the villains to be featured on book 4, but neither Brian Konietzko nor Michael Dante DiMartino, the creators of Legend of Korra, have released anything official on the character. Fans of the show are keeping the topic alive and have expressed their idea that Kuvira might be Zaheer's daughter to Suyin. This theory is rooted from a picture of Suyin with someone who oddly resembles Zaheer back when she joined the circus; Kuvira might be their lovechild. Farfetched, but right now does it really even matter? If this would be true, then Suyin has a lot of explaining to do. But she has proven her loyalty to Team Avatar; she did save Korra from the poison.
One of the more likely theories is that Kuvira might be a member of the Red Lotus and is acting as a double agent, much like Aiwei. This would be an interesting angle that would kind of reflect the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with Hydra infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D.; they would be hunting down those who are potentially members of the Red Lotus.
As theories go I would think that the latter seems to be more plausible. Either way, Kuvira will have a huge role in Book 4.
With all the theories and speculations and the rumors, we'll just have to wait for Book 4 to make its debut to get all our questions answered.
