The Big Bang Theory Season 8 News, Spoilers, and Updates: Details on the Season Premiere Released Online
On the season 7 finale of The Big Bang Theory, Leonard and Penny find Sheldon in the train station who wants to run away from home because of the overwhelming changes that have occurred around him. Penny eventually convinces Leonard that letting Sheldon go would probably be the best for him to clear his head.
Fans have been wondering now what has happened to Sheldon after the said events. Well Season 8 is just a couple of weeks away and CBS has officially released the details on what to expect for the back-to-back season premiere of The Big Bang Theory.
"Leonard and Amy take an unexpected road trip to Arizona to pick up Sheldon. Meanwhile, Penny interviews for a job at Bernadette's company, and Howard is weirded out by Stuart's relationship with Mrs. Wolowitz. When Sheldon is forced to teach a class, Howard surprises everyone by taking it. Meanwhile, the tension between Penny and Bernadette gives Amy a chance to play both sides."
The first half of the premiere is titled "The Locomotion Interruption," while the second half is "The Junior Professor Solution."
Season 8 was reported to be delayed when the cast requested a raise in their salary. Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, and Johnny Galecki were reportedly requesting $1 million for each episode. According to Deadline, Parsons, Cuoco-Sweeting and Galecki have signed three-year contracts with Warner Bros. TV. The delay on the production of the show however didn't change the expected Fall release of season 8, and is now scheduled to premiere on September 22 Monday 8pm on CBS, and will come back to its original schedule on Thursdays starting October 29.
