Criminal Minds Season 10 Premiere, News, Spoilers, and Updates: Details on the Season Premiere Released Online 

Criminal Minds season 10 is set to premiere on Wednesday October 1 on CBS. Joining the cast is Jennifer Love Hewitt as former undercover FBI Agent, Kate Callahan.

"The BAU team investigates a series of murders in Bakersfield, Calif., which have left the victims unidentifiable. Also, the team welcomes new agent Kate Callahan into the BAU fold, who assists them in their efforts in solving the cases, on the 10th season premiere of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, October 1 9/8c."

This might be the plot that was alluded to from the Season 10 promo.

Rumors and speculations have also spurred online when actor Thomas Gibson who plays Hotch told E! Online that the mysterious sender of the text messages might be revealed on the upcoming season saying, "You'll find out what it says and it's important."

Other plot details for season 10 have been scarce due to the fact that even the cast don't know what will happen and who will die by the end of each season citing that they are not able to read the script until shooting starts. Much like with what happened in the season 9 finale when Reid and Morgan were shot, this upcoming season everyone seems to be anxious not knowing when their respective characters might be written off the show.

The entire cast is reported to return with the exception of Jeanne Tripplehorn who played Dr. Alex Blake who left the show after the season 9 finale. And there are rumors spreading that actress Jane Lynch might return for her recurring role as Diana Reid.
