'Angry Birds Movie' This is Not a Game It's a Movie, Release Date Announced
Angry Birds Movie is an upcoming 3D animated film to be released by Sony Pictures Entertainment, and financed by Finnish game maker company Rovio Entertainment based on their popular video game by the same name Angry Birds, which was first released back in 2009, initially developed for Apple's iOS, and later for other smartphone operating systems such as Windows Phone and Android.
Due to the mobile video game's popularity, being the number 1 paid app of all time, versions of the game were also developed for computers and other video gaming consoles.
An animated television series was also developed based on the game, and was broadcasted weekly on a multi-platform channel called ToonsTV, which was also launched by Rovio Entertainment on March 16 of last year 2013. It was viewed more than 1 billion times, making it a very huge success!
The upcoming animated film is being produced by John Cohen who was the producer of the 2010 movie Despicable Me, along with the Executive Producer David Maisel who produced the well-known movie Iron Man.
It is being directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, both having vast experience in the Animation industry, contributing to the animation of Walt Disney Studios and Sony Pictures respectively, such as Tangled, Frozen and Hotel Transylvania.
With this in mind, sure enough it is a must-see animated film for Angry Birds fans!
Although the animated series was already introduced to fans, the details and plot of the upcoming film remain unknown as of this time, and is expected to be released on July 1, 2016!
