Horror movies are beginning to get the recognition and remakes that they deserve and another classic horror film that will be receiving a green screen reboot treatment would be The Poltergeist. In fact, Fox has previously announced that horror film re-adaptation of the 1982 horror film will be released by the summer of 2015.
The Poltergeist 2015 movie will be featuring stars such as Sam Rockwell, Kennedi Clements, Kyle Catlett, Jane Adams, Jared Harris, Rosemarie DeWitt and Saxon Sharbino. Playing the lead role of Eric Bowen will be Rockwell and Clements will be taking the role of his daughter, Madison, who will be 'abducted'by supernatural beings. It will be produced by Sam Raimi and directed by Gil Kenan who is known for his works such as Monster House.
Among the latest news of the Poltergeist 2015 movie, it was shared that a new scene was added to the script. According to one report, one of these scenes would involve the children finding certain objects in the attic which, are surprisingly, the possession of the family from the first film. It was further explained that in the story, these possessions were intentionally left behind. That would include the iconic black and white television set that was utilized in the 1982 film.
It would seem that the Poltergeist 2015 movie will be a promising horror film reboot judging on the shouts to the original film.
