The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 News, Trailer, Poster, and Updates: NEW Posters featuring District 13 Rebels
Lionsgate have released a set of new posters featuring the rebels of District 13 for The hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. The posters also feature actor Liam Hemsworth who reprises his role as Gale.
Also, the new set of posters depicting the rebels include newcomers to the franchise actors Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones) as Cressida, Evan Ross as Messalla, Mahershala Ali as Boggs, Wes Chatham as Castor, and Elden Henson as Pollux. Julianne Moore is also joining the cast as President Alma Coin. The film will also marks the last role of late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who portrays Plutarch. The actor died of a heroin overdose back in February.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will tell the story of the beginning of the rebellion inspired by Katniss Everdeen against the Capitol of Panem. The lower districts of Panem have suffered through years of abuse and forced poverty brought about by The Capitol. Panem is headed by the President, Coriolanus Snow, who is considered to be a villainous tyrant. The rebellion will seek the downfall of the Capitol, and put an end to the Hunger Games
The film franchise is adapted from a trilogy of best-selling books written by author Suzanne Collins. The Hunger Games was first published in 2008, and was first adapted into a film in 2012.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be the 3rd film in the franchise and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, and Donald Sutherland, and will premiere on November 21. Mockingjay Part 2 will be released on November 20, 2015.
